Staff were pleasant, but the property needs cleaning

The bed clothes were clean, but I'm not sure this hotel got so many great ratings. The carpets haven't been cleaned in many years, hallways were dingy, wall paper pealing away from walls, signs of years of wear were everywhere.

The recent ownership change of this hotel has left the new owners with quite a project. We were surprised to find decent and new furnishings in the room. Pretty much everything else... needs help. Areas to work on would be: describe breakfast as continental not full...it's all pastry. Our bathroom needed an overhaul and plumbing was slow. Lobby- dismal. But the staff were so nice. I hope they get it renovated and succeed.

Staff couldnt even give us a room as they were operating at half capacity.

Hotel does shows aging

My only issue was was it was supposed to have a balcony and it did not.

Stained carpet, old and smelly, pictures are deceiving.

This place was being "remodeled". The bed was comfortable but the furniture was in very poor condition. The reason I booked it was because of it's rating. This is So Off. It stated 1000 reviews... I Don't Think So. It was exaggerated to get the high scoring. I can't say enough how disappointed and mad I was at the False reporting of the hotel

A hotel in transition. Staff not very compident. Carpets smelled Should have been replaced. Furnishings and bed seemed new. Did not stay for breakfast.

They did not have a room when we got there and the front desk guy was asleep.
