The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel

Lovely staff, helpful, fantastic location, interesting historical place.

Great place

Its a great old hotel with character however the room I stayed in was v small and tired. Not great. No hairdryer - had to ask the cleaner for help to get one. My room was on third floor and no elevator so had to get my bag up and down three flights! No check in or reception - you talk to the bartendr for help. Shower was nice. If you like character and are happy with second rate then its in a great location - v close to the Rocks market, harbour bridge, Central rail station and cruise wharf bars.

I was greeted my a lovely lady that works there. I was able to leave my bags before check in to explore the city. My room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and it was nice to take a hot bath after a long day of travel. If you’re looking for something historic, that has a pub in the lobby, and for a comfortable stay in the heart of Sydney then this is it!

Wonderful rooms and dining. Happy staff, extra blankets and towels and could leave our bags while we explored after checkout. Thank you!

The accomodation was very nice as were the staff. Unfortunately the only issue we had was the poor air conditioning which was way too hot for our liking which inevitably impacted our sleep and the satisfaction rating. If they managed to fix the issue I would definitely stay again.

We booked our room because our friends had told us about the hotel being in a convenient location, which was indeed the case. We put up with the fact that there is no lift. My wife could not use the shower in the bath, so we won't be going back. What we did like was the spacious and brightly lit room (ideal for reading, although the chairs were uncomfortable).

Great Hotel to stay at an awesome venues in the area for a 70th birthday party. Beautiful

Friendly welcome despite the busyness in the bar at 3.00 pm on a Saturday. Great room with all that I needed.
