The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel

Great location- walk to the Rocks, Circular Quay and Barrangaroo, good communication regarding after hours check in, clean room with large bathroom. Will definitely stay there again next time playing tourist in Sydney.

Considerably overpriced for the quality. We were put in a “premium room” 304 which was substandard and not like the photos. The carpet was threadbare, there were no bedside lamps, the bedside tables were shipboard with the top just resting on the base by gravity and covered by a cloth. There was a skylight with no way to cover it, so you woke up at dawn, whether you liked it or not. There was also no breakfast facilities in the hotel. We were not expecting luxury but this was disappointing in the extreme considering the price of the room. On the bright side the building is full of character and the pub area is good, serving a nice pint, also the location is good as it is only 10mins walk to circular key.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The manager took us through the busy bar personally and led us to our room. He even helped carry one of our bags. A really beautiful old pub with its own brewery.

Nice place to stay

One of our favourite places to stay in Sydney. Great vibe and very easy walk to hot spots. Only downside is they don’t have the free breakfast anymore.

Lovely building, fab location,

The Lord Nelson is both a charming and original place to stay. Because it is right smack in the center of old Sydney but also situated in a calmer corner, it gives easy access to eating venues of all kinds, closeby central public transport and an excellent location to start exploring Sydney from.

This was a charming place, very friendly staff, and walking distance to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The charm is great - Syndey's oldest hotel and sitting atop a pub and brewery. Main regret is not having time to sample each of the beers.

It suited our needs for an overnight stay to attend an event in the local area. Would happily rebook again.
