No air conditioning and WiFi in rooms, mosquitos, but it comes with being eco resort :-)

We liked a lot the vibe and the view was absolutely amazing. We loved the staff, they were very accommodating and friendly. The food was good and there was a lot of nice options as well. The activities you can do on the island are INCREDIBLE, one of our best trips.

The location was both a nice and bad thing. It was nice because it was very high in the mountain and the view was amazing, but the path from the main road to the eco lodge was complicated and it is not easy to navigate without a truck or very good all terrain car. That made it so that we couldn't easily decide to go down to the town during the night and had to stay at the resort.

De weg naar boven is slecht. De meeste mensen huren een quad om naar boven te komen, dit is alleen best prijzig. Wij zijn uiteindelijk 1 dag met de scooter omhoog gekomen, als je voorzichtig rijdt dan kan dit wel. Er zijn een paar stukjes slecht, maar daar kan je ook afstappen. Verder mag het zwembad wel gerenoveerd worden. Maar prachtig uitzicht!

Excelente surprise que cet hôtel. J’ai eu l’impression de faire du camping hyper luxe, moi qui déteste le camping habituellement. J’ai adoré, très propre , aucun insecte dans la chambre ni dans la salle de bains. Prendre une douche sous la lune a été un moment enchanteur. Je n’ai pu rester qu’une nuit malheureusement, mais on m’a organisé une excellente séance de yoga / stretching de 1.30 heure, et j’ai pu nager dans la piscine. Je suis montée avec un taxi très sympathique du village voisin.m, sans problème.

Location and views

Prachtig resort met prachtige grote huisjes. Veranda met prachtig uitzicht. De medewerkers hebben ons ook helemaal welkom laten voelen en met name Rafael heeft er alles aan gedaan om het aanzoek van mijn vriend zo speciaal en mooi mogelijk te maken!

Enige nadeel is de weg ernaartoe. Wij hadden een quad en was hiermee goed te doen alleen in het donker was het wat spannender. Met een scooter kon je over de stoep rijden dus dat was wel goed gedaan.

I had a wonderful 3 night stay here whilst visiting Ometepe. The location is literally in the middle of the jungle but has in my opinion one of the best views of Ometepe island. It’s a bit out the way so you need a scooter or quad to get up and down to Balgue but I just organised two day tours and they picked me up directly and took me from there. The food is great and I ate there all three nights and the cocktails and drinks are brilliant. The staff were super helpful and accommodating and helped book me taxis from and to the ferry. Would highly recommend for a few nights in Ometepe.

It is in the middle of the jungle so make sure you have some bug spray. You’ll need it. I was prepared for this and the net over the bed worked really well. But just be mindful there are too by to be the odd thing that makes it in to your room or outside shower. So just be sensible with the lights etc to avoid attracting them in!
