Days Inn by Wyndham Chillicothe

Was only there one night. Big improvement from the time we stayed a couple of years ago. The new owners are still doing some work. But if you are looking for a clean and economical place, Days Inn is right on the Main Street through town.

Lots of flies, stained carpet, shower curtain stained at bottom.

No breakfast. Renovations being done do a lot of workers & noise.

It was good. Clean. Hot water comfortable beds.

They are in middle of remodeling a lot of the rooms. Our room has some peeling paint on ceiling and bathroom door hinge was loose. But these did not bother us, room was clean.

Had to pay a $20 early check in fee so we could go to the pool (the pool that was obviously not opened all year and we weren’t told. Once we checked in we went to our room and the door didn’t latch. Went back to the front desk and the last walked us back to the room, slammed the door as hard as she could, the door latches, she looked at us like we were stupid. She then made us slam the door as hard as possible. Fast forward, we go outside to see that the pool is closed and hasn’t been open in what looks like a decade. We decided we’re going to hook our roku up, couldn’t do that because half the outlets didn’t work. We then decided to just watch tv and when we did that the tv would only work for roughly 3 minutes at a time then the cable would cut out. It did it the whole 24 hours we were there. That normally wouldn’t be a big deal but we had nothing to do since we didn’t have the pool and we got there early specifically for the pool. Later that night we went to the front desk to ask for two extra pillows, since you know, there’s two beds in our room. When we got to the front desk to ask, (because we couldn’t call due to the lack of a phone to call DVD front desk) she rudely responded with, “You can have one pillow and that’s it” for our two beds… wWe don’t want to argue and take the pillow and go off to bed. Once we wake up we’re like, “we’re going to go to breakfast because who doesn’t love a free breakfast?”. Turns out, the breakfast was terrible. 0/10 don’t recommend here.

The staff is remodeling the rooms and are very nice. Will stay there again

We arrived to a hotel that was closed and we’re shuffled to a different hotel. This one was of questionable cleanliness. Morning staff allowed breakfast trash to build up and spill over on floor. Rather than take out the garbage she put a little wastebasket beside the overflowing trash. By 7:30 AM most of buffet food had been consumed by construction workers before they left for work and their mess left behind. Should have been cleaned and refreshed.

Well, upon check-in I was told "we are under inspection so you will stsy at Super 8". Confused but went to Super 8. Desk confusion because I reserved rm w/2 queen beds. Offered King bed instead. No-I need 2 beds. Offered deluxe rm 2 bed. Finally got 2 beds. Then intruder entered room during night. Bad experience

Check in was super easy. The pool was down for maintenance. We had ants in our room.
