The machiya house was absolutely beautiful! So comfortable, the tubs (inside and out) were so relaxing after a long day. The location was so convenient! You walk out the train station, walk straight down the street just a little way and you are there. Right next to a 7 eleven as well. The host is super friendly and helpful. He does a traditional tea ceremony with you, shows you around the home and explains how everything works, and even arranges luggage transportation if you need it. Would stay there again for sure. We were sad to have to leave it.

"Amazing stay"

A very beautiful and relaxing property, with a lovely traditional Japanese atmosphere. The rooms were clean, cozy and well equipped, and the private baths were definitely the highlight of our stay. Check-in was smooth and the location was convenient for exploring Kyoto. Overall, a memorable and comfortable stay.
