Pillows we're not good, caused poor sleep

It’s well positioned and charming. The staff are friendly and there is a lovely lounge bar, the Cuckmere Lounge, and restaurant, 1912.

There are no air conditioners in the rooms and they have my dad a poky little room that we didn’t pay much more for a lovely double room.

De charme van het old-england hotel in se en het zeer behulpzaam onthaalpersoneel maakte het allemaal goed. Ook het gezelig, familiaal karakter van de gemeenschappelijke salonnen en de bar op het gelijkvloers hebben voor aangename, relax tijden gezorgd.

De kamers die op booking getoond werden hadden zicht op zee...wij kregen kamers achteraan en in eerste instantie niet naast elkaar. Het zijn de vriendelijke onthaalmensen die op de aankomstavond voor aangrenzende kamers zorgden weliswaar met oude, net niet versleten, badkamer inrichting bijvoorbeeld. Warmwaterkraan van bad/douche bijna niet te regelen. Het blauwe salon op het gelijkvloer was niet zo netjes met vlekken op de stoffen zetels, het bruine salon was daarentegen prima.

Not much. The location was good and the room was quiet

The room was freezing and when I asked at reception was told it was on a timer so would come on. This was not true and the room remained cold. It looked like a residential home for the elderly and one of the chairs had a big hole in the upholstery. It was £230 without breakfast! One of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in.
