Alpen Resort & Spa Zermatt

We are a family of 4 pax. Reached the hotel early and room was not ready, staff was very helpful and make arrangement to shift our luggage to room directly.

Just a 5 minute walk to the train station although they also have a small shuttle to pick you up or drop you off (which helps if you have much luggage). There is a grocery store just 2 minute walk as well and it’s about 10 minutes to old town area. The shuttle train to the viewpoint for the Matterhorn is just across the street from the train station. Accommodations, food, and staff were terrific.

The room was good, but it was a 10min walk for doing anything like food, shopping or train station. I faced one off scenario like my kid started throwing up and Diarrhea in the middle of the night and tried to reach out to front desk came to know there is no onsite service in the night until 7 or 8AM. Even medical kit, bathroom tissues anything you need incase of emergency you need to wait till morning 8AM. This is not okay for me.

Family room has a balcony with excellent view of the Matterhorn. Very clean and well maintained. Hotel has a great spa and friendly staff. Enjoyed the stay!!!

This hotel was a highlight of our Switzerland trip. We've got upgraded to a panoramic room and watching the sunrise hit Matterhorn in the morning never gets old. Large room, spa, breakfasts, ice cream at 3 o'clock - everything was top notch. The only thing I wanted was for it to be closer to the other side of town. It's hard to drag your feet across the whole town after an all day hike in the mountains.

This stay was incredible. The shuttle from the train was so easy and convenient and our driver was SO friendly. The rooms were amazing for families with kids. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our deck. The pool was amazing and as it’s indoor we could use it no matter what. Our first night we ate downstairs in the pub and our server was incredible. If I ever make it back to Zermatt, there’s no where else I’d rather stay.
