Best Western Valley Hotel

Long weekend in iron bridge,chose this hotel.with a deal from travel zoo. Rooms were clean but basic needs. Booked into the on site restaurant and wasn't disappointed, it was very good and busy for a Friday night. Good bar and garden area. The staff were all very friendly especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast was a feast,very well cooked and lovely ingredients. Shrewsbury was only a sort drive and well worth a visit.

The good stuff: Nice location, friendly staff, car parking, acceptable breakfast. The less good: Dated, tired interior. Room heating only operative in the morning, meaning an unacceptably cold evening and night. Disturbed by constant noise of large extractor (kitchen?) ducts beneath window. Guest Wi-fi useless in room.

My wife and I had our wedding reception here on 22nd March 2025, so 1 year to the date we went for our anniversary meal. We dined in exactly the same room as our reception, which made it even more special, and the staff were just as exceptional as ever, had a laugh and joke with them all, especially with our friends Roy, Lee and Lisa. The food was just as superb as ever, so a big thank you to the chefs. A big big thank you to you all for our special evening celebrating or wedding anniversary.

Unfortunately the room was very noisy. From both upstairs and outside.

Brought an afternoon tea for my mom for Christmas. Hotel is held is lovely with picturesque gardens. Staff were kind and attentive. They were also accommodating and let me add my son to the afternoon tea and offered Additonals such as prosecco and coke etc which could be purchased at additional cost. Food was nice. Afternoon tea contained a selection of 4 sandwiches, 3 cakes and a scone. The scone was warm which was lovely, but the sandwiches were quite standard. Cheese, ham, tuna and egg mayo. This worked perfectly for us as we like quite a simple sandwich but thought it was worth mentioning. Would recommend.

A perfect location for experiencing Ironbridge Gorge and attractions, yet quiet and in green surroundings. A traditional older building with a homely feel. Friendly, helpful staff. A free upgrade to a larger room. Good breakfast.
