We stayed at Fairlawns from 23.04.25 - 27.04.25 and had our wedding on 25.4.25. We had a fabulous time, completely stress free, faultless and just perfect.
Wedding Prep
Fairlawns Hotel and Spa is the perfect venue for wedding preparations. The dedicated wedding coordinators ensure every detail is meticulously planned, from the 3rd party recommendations to the timings and personalised advice. The bridal suite is spacious and elegantly decorated, providing a serene environment for the bride and her entourage to get ready. The constant communication from booking to marriage meant the organising of our wedding was stress-free and faultless, despite being planned start to finish in only six months.
Wedding Day
On the wedding day, Fairlawns truly shines. The ceremony was held in the stunning Garden Rooms with access to the private wedding garden and outdoor patio – it was all perfect. We had arranged for an external décor company to come in to dress the chairs and provide some extra items and the staff at Fairlawns worked with them seamlessly to ensure the room looked 10/10.
A lot of decorations were hand-made and provided for the on-the-day staff to set out and without instruction, they somehow managed to set everything up exactly how I had visioned. The staff are incredibly attentive, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We enjoyed a fantastic 3-course dinner that we had the opportunity to taste several weeks prior, ensuring it was perfect for our special day. The evening was capped off with delicious pizza, which went down a treat with all our guests. The reception area is stunning, with elegant decor and excellent lighting. The catering service is top-notch, offering a wide range of delicious options that can be customized to suit any dietary requirements. The overall ambiance is magical, making it a day to remember.
Spa
The spa at Fairlawns is a haven of tranquillity. With a variety of treatments available, including massages, facials, and body wraps, it's the perfect place to unwind. The thermal suite, pool, and hot tub garden are exceptional, providing a luxurious experience. The spa staff are professional and skilled, ensuring that every treatment is tailored to your needs. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day or a full spa retreat, Fairlawns delivers an outstanding experience.
Staff
The staff at Fairlawns Hotel and Spa are exceptional. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with warmth and professionalism. Several key individuals made our build-up to the wedding and stay perfect:
Josh, our wedding coordinator, was instrumental in planning every detail, ensuring that our vision was brought to life seamlessly.
Hayley, the on-the-day wedding coordinator, was a calming presence, managing everything with grace and efficiency, allowing us to enjoy every moment.
Attia, the general hotel manager, ensured that our overall experience was flawless, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
Julian, our bar and restaurant server, provided excellent service, making sure our guests were well taken care of and the dining experience was memorable.
Emma, the receptionist, greeted us with a warm smile and was always ready to assist with any queries, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
Their dedication to excellent service is evident in every interaction, making you feel valued and cared for. Of course, there are other members of staff at Fairlawns, too many to recall but I will remember that each and everyone of them treated us like family and we cannot wait to return to see so many familiar faces.
Rooms
The rooms at Fairlawns are beautifully appointed, combining comfort and style. Each room is unique, with thoughtful touches like organic toiletries, Chromecast for media, and free high-speed Wi-Fi. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The cleanliness and attention to detail are impeccable, making you feel right at home. Whether you choose a standard room or a luxurious suite, you won't be disappointed. We were lucky enough to be upgraded on our 3rd and final night to a superior loft suite and this made our day. In our honeymoon suite we received a card and chocolates from the staff at Fairlawns which was a touching sentiment, one we really appreciated.
Property
The property itself is stunning. Nestled in a picturesque location, Fairlawns offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The gardens are beautifully maintained, providing a lovely backdrop for photos and leisurely strolls. The hotel features modern amenities, including a fitness centre and various dining options. The overall atmosphere is serene and inviting, making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway or a special event.
Fairlawns Hotel and Spa truly deserves this 5-star rating. Every aspect of the experience, from wedding preparations to the spa, staff, rooms, and property, is exceptional. The staff they have here are exactly the type of people you want to have in hospitality, they make you feel like you are coming home, welcomed in every way. We would highly recommended Fairlawns to anyone, whether it be for their wedding day, party celebrations, spa break or a general hotel stay to relax. This place ticks all the boxes and I could not be more impressed if I tried.
