The hotel is in a great location with views across the hills. The staff were all fantastic and very helpful providing a nice warm, friendly atmosphere. We have stayed a number of times over the years, whilst other staff may have changed the ladies at breakfast were particularly charming and always make our day! Beds were comfy.

The rooms are looking a little dated but still OK for our needs. We had a nice big ground stairs room at the end of corridor - there were only hooks for our clothes - a nice wardrobe would have been good. We were there over a particularly cold weekend in May, the room was cold and we had to use the portable heater to take chill off. It might have been nice if someone had warmed the room for us a little.

"Convenient hotel location."

The bed was comfortable. The hotel was in an ideal position for my needs and was in pleasant surroundings. There was quite a good choice of food at breakfast.

No heat in the room or bathroom. It was a cold day and the room was in shadow so it became uncomfortably cold. Phoned reception and was told that an electric heater would be provided. Had to go down to the reception after an hour of waiting to ask again. The heater was effective but couldn't be plugged in anywhere near the bathroom. Cleanliness was an issue in the bathroom. The coffee at breakfast wasn't particularly pleasant and I couldn't see any tea making facilities.
