Badlands Inn & Suites

Location, size of room and price!

No amenities, no ice maker that worked. Did not replace towels or clean room. Was there 7 days did not see any worker except person at desk who was friendly. No breakfast.

It was right off of the highway and not too far from other amenities. The bed was comfortable. The hostess was friendly but was a bit perturbed at us or her staff for having to move us to a different room, that we felt uncomfortable asking for. It was cheap

The place is under renovation and is filthy from floor to ceiling. The first room we were checked in to had not been cleaned so we were given a different room. This one had been cleaned but still had a dirty rag hanging in the shower. The ice machines were all out of service. The outside door didn't work so it was propped open making it so anybody could wander in off the street. The wifi didn't work. The microwave made the lights dim.

Room was clean and quite, good location walking distant to 3 or 4 businesses,

Web site showed they had a bar lounge and swimming pool area, the bar was out of business, the pool and hot tub was filled in with dirt and none of the ice machines worked.

The location was convenient and easy to find.

The place is run down. Corridors smell of old age, poor maintenance, and damp. It seems as if the hotel had been abandoned for a while, and perhaps recently acquired with an eye toward renovation. But the renovation is in very early stages. Lobby looks good. Our first room was inaccessible as the door had swollen in the frame and had to be forced open. Not wanting to be trapped, we asked to be moved The second room was booked as non- smoking but had obviously been a smoking room in the not too distant past. Room 3 smelled musty and as if the carpets had been damp for too long. This kicked up our allergies in the night so we cancellef the remainder of our stay. Not sure if it's headed for improvement or demolition.

Location

Dirty and unkept Jackhammers doing cement work right outside our window all afternoon. Floor was vibrating from the work just outside our room.

There wasn’t breakfast or coffee.
