Quality Inn Rochester West

The surroundings & neighborhood did not represent what we saw in the pictures of the booking. We did not feel safe to stay there in that atmosphere, even tho the price was good for the room, but nothing like other Quality Inn's that we've enjoyed before. A couple examples: We prefer second floor for security, but elevator was not working. Grandmother cannot do stairs. The toilet seat was smaller that the bowl, wierd. The view from our window was construction equipment and piled trash. Overall, it just did not feel comfortable given the unkept grounds. Even tho we booked non-refundable, we ended up not staying at all and fully regret that we did not take pictures. I think we were in shock. Wouldn't think that Booking.com would indorse this! Do we have any recourse?

The bed, pillows, and blankets were all very comfortable. We liked the look of the room. The complimentary breakfast was nice and saved us money from having to go out for breakfast. Plenty of parking in hotel parking lot. A big plus for having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

No shower curtain. No shower knob. No discount when i needed to move rooms for the above issues
