Derby Midland Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Very close proximity to railway station. W.ell appointed bedrooms, very spacious and with good furniture. Separate bath and shower, although the shower was a little disappointing, small and not much water pressure. The room was generally clean, but one or two areas had quite a lot of dust, easily visable.

Enjoyable stay. Breakfast was lovely and The evening meal was excellent.

The hotel says it’s a 4 star hotel I’d say more like a 2 star at best the rooms are dated and in poor overall condition!! What they need is a restoration program in place and to invest into a pool sauna and gym and then maybe I just might go back there

We only stayed a couple of nights as we were attending a wedding so didn't spend too much time in the hotel itself. We enjoyed the ambience and thought the hotel was extremely good.

Saw family and friends it was ok but the room was lovely but housekeeping was not done for the duration of my stay ...a little dissapointed about that

Beautifully-restored historic railway hotel, with friendly staff and good food, very handy for both the railway station and Derby College. Quick bus to the city centre if you don't want to walk. Rather than have an anonymous multinational beer on the bar, they had 'The Usual', brewed 300 yards away in the Brunswick Brewery.

I had a comfortable room, with good service from reception and decent internet coverage, so I'm a pretty happy bunny! The local area is one of the best I've ever stayed in for Indian restaurants too, which is a bonus for me

I felt the bed was a small double. Would have preferred a larger bed for two people. Apart from that, staff was very polite and helpful.

We got a bargain bed and breakfast price. The breakfast was very good. However our room had drafts from the window, the wardrobe was too small for 1 person let alone 2 and the bathroom radiator and extractor fan did not work. The bedroom ceiling is in need of repair. I’ve stayed here before and my room was fine, so maybe I should have requested a change of room.

A great hotel and splendid building right by Derby Station- not noisy in spite of the location and I had a very quiet and comfortable night.
