Had to pay for car parking doesn’t say this when you book your hotel

Bad service at check in room awful small and never a double bed

Good, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly, food was good, location Wass good

I had hoped to have an amazing experience but from the check in process that was super slow to noise from the plumbing system and a single bed for a couple we did not enjoy our stay.

Across the road from the train station which was really handy, room was clean and had everything needed (hairdryder tea/coffee facilities shower gel etc). Shower was a bit temperamental and very hard to get temperature right. Didn't use restaurant but attended a xmas party and the meal was really good. Only one person checking people out which resulted in a queue.

When first checked in went to my room the bed was not made their was still people’s things in the room so I went back to reception and told them and they put me in another room

The location is good for meetings being next to the station with a couple of good curry houses very close but the £8 parking charge is a bit much for overnight guests when it's free at the Holiday Inn Express the other side of the railway and free on the road between 6pm and 8am. Bar and reception staff friendly.

Victoria features and location where a great combination for me, close proximity to the town centre, restaurants and transport links

The hotel was pleasant, the room clean and comfortable. The staff we met were very helpful though on checking out, more staff were needed to avoid the growing queue at 11am. I would have appreciated knowing there was a charge for car parking With my booking, as many other Derby hotel websites already do. The location of the hotel is convenient for the city centre and for us it was a safe walk there and back late on the Saturday night.

We choose this hotel as it looked good from the photos and was central for spending a weekend in Derby. Rooms were nice enough as was location. However if you want a decent nights sleep, maybe look elsewhere. Noise from our neighbors in the corridor and adjoining room at 3am and constant road noise was disappointing for us especially as this is a big hotel and wasn’t exactly full!
