Best breakfast and best place

We came across the Burn How Garden Hotel by chance online and decided to book a 3 day stay there in September. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The hotel is set among beautiful gardens and within walking distance to Bowness-On-Windermere and Lake Windermere. The staff could not do enough for you and were very courteous and polite. Breakfast was excellent with a very varied choice. Our room was spacious and had lovely views of the gardens. This hotel comes highly recommended if you’re looking to visit the area. This is a lovely well run and organised hotel The accomodation was perfect was very easy to relax The breakfast was excellent and we could not have asked for a better start to the day. We could not find any fault with our stay . We will go back when we next visit the Lake District We can strongly recommend

Very friendly staff, beautiful area. I enquired about the t.v. We only had access to bbc 1 & bbc 2 when the reception worked... Staff were informed on two occasions but very unfortunately, it was already the end of our stay (3 nights). Also, on our arrival to the hotel, on entering the bathroom, we found a very large crack in the bath panel so, this was reported staff, to make them aware of this, as we did not want to be held responsible as it was found it in this condition on our arrival.

This is the second time this year we have stayed at the Burn Howe. The room we stayed was newly decorated so was clean and in good condition with a small balcony attached overlooking the garden area. We had breakfast on both mornings and there was plenty of choice both hot and cold options. Very tasty, piping hot The staff were very polite, professional and nothing was too much trouble for them always willing to help. Another enjoyable stay. Thank you to all concerned.

Had a really lovely stay. Location and room were perfect for us and the staff really made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was just what we needed.

Really lovely, charming hotel with lovely gardens. Great set back,quiet location just a few minutes walk from the lake and the town. Beautiful large and bright room with balcony overlooking the rose garden. Real gem of a place. Staff very friendly and attentive, super breakfast. Will definitely return and recommend.

A hidden gem - yet only a short walk from the lake side and the town. We had a last minute request due to personal reasons and the hotel was able to accommodate us - we really appreciate this. Our room was huge - light and airy - and with it's own small balcony with a table and 2 chairs - overlooking the rose garden. We sat out at night watching satellites move across the dark sky and even saw a shooting star! So relaxing. The bed and pillows were very comfy, we slept well. Breakfast room was really nice - not too big - and it overlooked the garden- and breakfast was great with lots of choice. Staff were very friendly and gave us lots of tips as well as a discount card for a few things including boat trips. We wish we could have stayed longer but we hope to return soon.

Burn hows hotel is in the perfect location , easy walk to all the local amenities and on site parking. The room we were in was a little tired looking and in need of a refurb, there was a very strong and unpleasant musty smell when we entered , the room was however clean and the beds comfortable. Staff were all lovely and breakfast was very good . Enjoyed our stay .
