The staff were very accomodating and friendly. Food was very good...we would recommend The Griffin in the Summer months.

Kettle lead was not long enough for where the socket was (Room 2). Maybe replace kettle with longer cable. When we arrived there was a lovely log burner giving off a cosyiness and heat. Unfortunately after that 1st day I was having to put my coat on to eat my meals as I found it too cold in the bar/retaurant area. We cut our stay short by 1 day.

Nice stylish room, after they'd moved us from a small one where heating and electrics didn't work.

Flakes infrastructure, needs sorting out. Electrics kept flipping on one circuit. Centrals heating hit and miss. Hard to work out why it sometimes worked and sometimes didn't, seemed like airlock in the system.

Welcome very friendly. Room very clean, comfortable and quiet. Bar staff also very friendly, in fact everyone I met at The Griffin Inn were lovely. I would recommend a stay at this exceptional little gem.

Comfy beds. Room ok. Not what we would call deluxe. Staff friendly. Good breakfast.

Disorganised. Paper coming away from ceiling in bedroom. Very dated. Waited a long time for evening meal. Waitress forgot drinks. Meals when they eventually arrived were very mediocre. Next morning they didn’t know we had filled in and handed in the form for full English breakfast so they were not expecting us to. Although the hotel was generally okish . They seemed like a rudderless ship. Not organised,no systems in place

Staff very friendly and welcoming , Bar lively with friendly locals , early evening and evenings , good atmosphere and good friendly staff behind bar and kitchen ( chef checked with us each evening on meals etc)

Rooms tidy and relatively clean , bedside locker top and cup/glass mat not cleaned on arrival , it just had ring marks on it but disappointing. I accept it was early Sept , but only the towel rad warmed up in the evening , the radiator in the bedroom remained cold , I did open the valve but to no avail. It was not cold as such but cool.
