Donington Manor Hotel

Dropped in for an impromptu business meeting with colleagues, left feeling like we’d died and gone to heaven. With little notice a meeting room was laid on, teas and coffee suddenly appeared, and before we knew it a fantastic lunch was laid on. Nothing was too much trouble, how rare is that these days? Absolute find when you need a change from identikit soulless corporate meeting venues. Thanks to the staff for looking after us so well in such a short space of time

Friendly staff on check in and check out, the room was very spacious - more so than I imagined, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the wifi was easy to get on to and the TV and iron both worked! The hotel and room itself had great character.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like! At a push you could say that the bathroom was a little dated, but it all adds to the character!

Was so refreshing to be served promptly with no fuss, nothing was to much trouble

Tv is a little small and WiFi is intermittent

On arrival my room had no bedding. I was then moved to another room with no bedding as well. The third room I was given had bedding but the heating did not work. The duvet covers fit the bed correctly but the duvet inside is not the correct size leaving lots of loose material with no duvet inside, which doesnt help when the heating does not work. The room does not have a secondary method of securely locking the door from the inside. Other than this the staff were understanding and helpful.

The location was ideal and the staff were very helpful, The courtyard outside the room was very attractive. The parking was very good.

On arrival we were told reception was part time and they were not cooking that evening, The grout in the shower was black in places and we wondered about its cleanliness. Complimentary tea and coffee were not replenished.
