Friendly relaxed atmosphere and lovely spacious room

We took my mother and father for a Sunday lunch anniversary meal, on entering I though oh no as the building is very old and tired, however, the dining room is beautiful and the food was absolutely amazing, the service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble and they made my parents anniversary special with a note on the table and complimentary drinks, we will certainly be returning , please people give this venue a try

Absolutely recommend lovely welcome snd brilliant service . So warm friendly and towards me and my daughter . It was my daughter birthday so we had afternoon tea for 2 which was delicious. I’m vegetarian and they didn’t know so the chef change the food for me . We was also offered water and another pot of tea . We had the whole place to our selfs it’s very clean and beautiful old building . Definitely will go again I got brilliant offer on Groupon.

Went for afternoon tea as a birthday gift and I can honestly say how amazing the staff and the food was excellent, so warm and welcoming! My mum forgot to tell them she was vegetarian they made a whole new platter just for her no questions asked! I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a nice day out for any occasion, there was that much food left over we asked if we could take it back with us and they said it’s completely fine! Attended a family party at the hotel and had a good stay. Friendly and efficient check in and excellent breakfast.

Very old building first time visit for Afternoon Tea. Prawn, fresh salmon. Ham and cheese and egg and cucumber sandwiches. Nice selection of home made cakes and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.Tea and coffee endless. Nice afternoon out won’t be everybody’s cup of tea in an old building but I must say it’s very good value for the money nice pleasant staff too.

Last week we took friends for a meal at the Donington Manor. We had a super evening and James made us feel very special. The dining room was candlelit and the food superb. My husband and I are vegan and they have a delicious vegan menu. Always a pleasure to go there for dinner or drinks.

Lovely Afternoon Tea, Helen was a superb waitress and a star. Lovely choices of sandwiches and cakes in a beautiful room, with tablecloth and China cups. 5 stars. 2 of us are gluten free and the choices have been the best Afternoon tea so far. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Babs xxx
