Sure Hotel by Best Western Ambassador Duesseldorf

Doesn't look great from outside, but easy check in for fifth floor room that was very good. Comfortable beds, good shower and en-suite room, plenty of space, good television and tea/coffeee facilities. Some noise outside from trams - but honestly didn't disturb me. Would definitely stay again and very good value.

The hotel was very conveniently located. Basic amenities but everything was clean and comfortable. The weather was very warm so the room got warm as well without air conditioning. That was the only major drawback. The neighborhood is not beautiful but was safe and very convenient to the rail station. The staff were very helpful. I also appreciated the refrigerator selection of drinks that were very affordable.

Very close to the train station, clean, most of what you'd expect from a chain. Right on the road so earplugs needed - sound from the road so loud imagined is single-glazethough may be wrong. Service perfect. Some odd things: a wildly dysfunctional shower and kettle that could easily have been fixed, but which doused the entire bathroom and the desk with water respectively - a bit of basic maintenance needed. The smallest lift I've ever been in - a source of comedy and embarrassment - obviously little to be done about that without a major refit. Decor a peculiar mix of '80s woodchip and kitschy gold-framed Monet prints, '90s bland-blonde wood desk, and smarter and more recent bathroom fit-out. Staff themselves without fault. Cheap for a Best Western albeit with some reason.

Perfectly happy with what I got, given what I paid for it. The room was clean, bathroom new, but the carpet was a bit old and stained looking. Bed was clean and comfy. Furnishings were dated looking, but again, at its price point I have no problem with this. It was clean and functional, and fine for a few days. The neighborhood is not interesting - 5 minutes walk from the train station, down a nondescript street with construction opposite when I was there. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. A but of a trek to the old town, but being so close to the station, a short journey ticket can get you there quickly. If the price is right, and you expect clean, reliable acommodation near the train station, this hotel fits that bill. I'd stay there again.

Hotel was in an excellent location right by the Hauptbahnhof, so easy to get trams, trains and buses around the city etc. There was a mix up on the booking with hotels.com and they weren't expecting us, but the staff found us a room with no problems

The hotel was convenient for the main train station. The rooms were a good size, basic but had everything you needed. The only small complaint was some noise from the trains which cannot be helped.

There are two train rails right by the property, very loud and noise. The fact there is no AC in the room forced us to open the windows! The other thing is that the property is half renovated and half not, so we moved to another room trying to escape from the noise, but we moved to the non- renovated part yet, to it stinks.

Close to Hbf. First room we got was odd; ground floor through the restaurant. Couldn’t sleep well, then food smell from breakfast area as we wanted to sleep in after a long flight and train journey. After one night we were given a room that wa through doors and up steps; it wreaked of cigarette smoke on entering. We were promptly reassigned to another room. Very small but acceptable. The location is the only thing we really loved, but no German restaurants around; just Turkish and Asian.
