Days Inn by Wyndham Corvallis

A water line broke, so there was no running water for the first hour after checking in. I asked about getting some bottled water and was told I could buy it from their vending machine. At 4:00 AM there was pounding next door by the police. Moments later, a police dog filled the air wit staccato barking for several minutes. On the plus side, our bill was reduced by $25 for the water inconvenience.

We had a much better stay than expected from the reviews. Staff was friendly and helpful. The two most memorable things were the smells that assault you from the front entrance to the elevator and our stuffy Could have had the air conditioning running in preparation since they knew we were coming . Bring lots of air fresheners if smells bother you. Second was the recorded message that played all night long. Since we were right above the entrance it made for a restless night of sleep. But the beds were comfy and clean as well as the shower being well maintained.

It is an older poorly maintained hotel. We were in a room just above the door and had to listen to a security warning recording repeating all night long. One section of the room had zero lighting.

There was no breakfast provided even though it was said in the ammenities. Had difficulty getting the shower on, our keys stopped working for the door within a few hours and the AC stopped working in the middle of the night causing the room to get hot.

Nice location

Carpets were dirty, curtains were broken, breakfast was a bag of packaged items to take to your room, there were homeless people living in the parking lot, the police came in the middle of the night and were banging on someone’s door, and a pipe broke and the water had to be shut off for several hours on a Saturday night. Not a good stay, did not feel safe.

Hooks in room and bathroom would be helpful, chairs at the table would be helpful in rooms.

It was conveniently in Corvallis. Easy to park and get in and out of. Staff was friendly, helpful, and had good recommendations when asked.
