Cabaña Barlovento

We had the most amazing stay in this amazing location with absolutely amazing views and scenery. Delicious food, wonderful cocktails and lovely staff.

Best possible location in Tayrona park

If can get a bit noisy if you’re in the hut next to the sea. The view is stunning but it gets noisy

I liked all the nature around and that the staff was always there to solve our needs (to store our luggage, guide us to get to the place and explain all the experiences that can be lived around) and the breakfast was unbelievably. The bathrooms are impeccable, with towels, toilet paper and each shower is equipped with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.

I wish they could have chocolate therapy in the spa and more rooms like the cabaña cause it was totally worth it for the price of the accommodation and the spaces you have access to.

Wow! What an unforgettable destination! Absolutely gorgeous, with wildlife filled views all around: beach, river, and mountains. Our Cabaña Suite was awesome. The staff was great. Nothing bad to say. Would recommend this place to all.

Peaceful, tranquil, spiritual location and decor/ambiance with incredible views. Beautiful beach right there that you can explore, better than the Tayrona beaches 100%. Very quiet hotel (multiple signs saying “quiet please”) Ultimate relaxation. All meals were 5-star quality for a good price (~$35USD total per dinner for two people) Staff were very friendly and helpful, even if you don’t speak Spanish well they will work with you. Very kind and hardworking!

If you plan to book the open cabaña, think about how comfortable you are camping. It’s essentially that but right next to a roaring coastline on the edge of a cliff. We did 3 nights and we’re not big campers so it took some adjustment. You may not want to hang out in the room at night due to noise. We brought wax earplugs and slept very well the last 2 nights but the first night was tough. Overall still an amazing experience that we DO NOT regret. One small thing, more information upon check-in / in the room on how to book excursions, spa services and a ride to Tayrona park entrance would have been helpful. Front desk staff were very friendly though once we asked. We got shuttled to the entrance for about $5USD, it was very hard to get a taxi so this was great.

Pro: - nice location and views; - firendly staff; - tasty food at the restaurant; - quite area; Cons: - quite isolated - you need to walk a lot or order a taxi if you want to dinner in an another restaurant (there are not that many in the area) - you cannot swim in the lagoon or in the sea - crocodiles (not caymans as it is written on their page)

Absolutamente increíble

Everything! Was above expectations! The staff was pretty amazing and friendly! Frank and all of them so kind, Food was OMG! The best!!!! Encocado and bread was from another world, The corttage (cabaña) was incredible!!! The view, amenities were remarkable, We had the best time and massages ever!

There is nothing to complain ! It was AMAZING!!!
