We were here 3 nights, no car, no rideshare, no bicycles, left the private jet at home. It may help with context. Location: Perfect for us. Less than a 10 minute walk from Jefferson Station coming in on the airport line. We arrived after 11pm and I wondered what the neighborhood would be like, but it was a safe, quiet walk. We walked a LOT during our time and thought this site was central (as the neighborhood area is in fact called) - northwest to the museum, south to some cultural sights, etc. I took the subway system once as well and that was minutes away too. And it's very close to tourist fave Reading Terminal Market. We didn't visit the Historic District on this visit, but I'm sure we would have enjoyed walking there too. Room: This is probably as swanky as Days Inn gets. When you walk in you see the space is mostly divided by a wall, bathroom and sink straight ahead, beds on the other side. This was helpful for us because I could get ready in the morning without the sink light potentially waking my kid up. We had a coffeemaker in the room so I was happy. Breakfast: I never partook, and there wasn't much, but all the same with the Reading Terminal Market steps away and a number of good coffeeshops in the vicinity I had no desire to partake of it no matter what they served. I've read others' reviews and have to mention: yes, you will see homeless people on the streets, not least because there is a shelter of sorts close by. On cold nights (and it was below freezing for essentially our entire stay) you will see them bundled up. My emotional response was one of heartbreak, not fear. I guess not everyone shares my feelings. Nobody spoke to us. For what it's worth the Days Inn door has keycard entry. If I return to Philadelphia I know exactly where I expect to stay.

USWe were very pleased with our stay! Our check-in experience was smooth, despite having to physically sign four sheets of paper, which felt like overkill considering so many Wyndham properties now offer the option to check in online ahead of time. The hotel itself was well maintained, with recent renovations to the guest room that definitely made for a pleasant stay. The mattress was super comfortable, and the fresh carpet was a nice touch too. The breakfast was light but that is expected at a Days Inn. The location was great, right in Chinatown surrounded by great restaurants and close to Reading Terminal Market. We'd definitely stay here again!
