Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Huntsville

Was not very satisfied. I called & the number I called said they only had us for a king room, not a king suite with spa bath we had booked & already paid for. Then get to the property & am told $100 deposit upfront (mind you I’ve already paid) nowhere did it mention a deposit at checkout, then I get in the room light switch by door wouldn’t work. Then go to use the spa tub & when I turned the tub on a bunch of trash covered the tub & only part of the jets work

I had requested a wheelchair-accessible room, and was never told anything to the contrary, but when arriving there apparently was not one available. I am in a wheelchair and had some large, heavy bags that I needed help with. The desk person was rude and dismissive about my request for assistance; consequently, I had to haul, inch by inch, my bags, while he stood in the parking lot 10 feet away, chatting with someone. He finally "came around" and became more friendly and helpful, but it was not a kind beginning, especially after a long difficult day of travel. He himself was also parked in the one handicapped parking spot, though he's not disabled. He did eventually move his car and let me park there, but still. The hotel is a bit shabby and there are some kind of shady-seeming clientele (shirtless in the hallway, smoking and "hanging out" at the entrance). It all ended up being okay...but not great.

This place is older I think? When we got to the second floor it reeked of marijuana, my husband had to run downstairs to get an extra blanket and some batteries for our remote and he noticed that the air filter was caked in dust, when the lady went to turn on the light to grab a blanket the light switch shocked her. When he asked her about it she just shrugged her shoulders and said it does that all the time. When we got to our room, I was using the desk to get ready for my interview and noticed a noodle stuck to the wall.My son went to grab a snack from the vending machine and it got stuck so he had to shake it a little for it to come lose.. idk..this place might need some tlc, other than that our stay was nice. People were SUPER friendly! We had clean sheets, and a clean room for the rest of our trip.

Fridge didn’t work, smelled like smoke all on 2nd floor , I had non smoking room and it smelled like smoke in it, tv box had burnt melted plastic from cigarette burning out on top of it I assume. Remote didn’t work and had to use buttons on the tv itself. Staff did not refund me when I left early and spoke to them and had stay insurance and still haven’t gotten my deposit refunded when I stayed one night and left the room in same condition as I got it. Never got breakfast when I specifically filled out the paper and signed up for it. I wish I had anything good to say but I just don’t..never again. I’ve stayed at many days inn for good pricing and convenience all over the east coast and this was the worst one

We found broken glass in the bathroom threshold all the way under the sink. There was hair left in the tub. The over head light in the sitting area did not work and the light in the night was broken as well. There was only ice machine on the 1 st floor opposite side of hotel.

I think there’s some remodeling needs to be done to bring hotel up to par. The only thing that was enjoyable was the bed slept well. But from there, it was downhill. The front door was broken. The carpet was very old, dirty and worn. When I spoke to the person at the desk about making reservations, he pointed me too the website and said I would get a better deal. I should have went to see for myself the condition of the hotel.
