Me gustó mucho todo como tal, desde que llegamos mos recibieron muy bien, un excelente servicio. Muy rico las comidas que preparan la atención del servicio super bien. Las vistas desde ese lugar super excelente. Si volvería nuevamente.

Lo que no me gustó que solo daba 20 minutos para la habitación de cortesia después de check aut de preferencia debería de ser una hora para poder bañarse toda la familia tranquilamente.

La porte de la chambre qui était dure à ouvrir et à fermer car le cadre de porte n'est pas droit,le miroir dans la chambre avec des taches(vieillesse)le buffet franchement moyen(qualité)les oiseaux sur la terrasse du resto car plateaux de nourriture non débarrassés,l'hôtel qui fait vieillot..

Location

Very old, out dated and in dire need of renovations. Food was terrible, we out for every meal. Towels looked dirty and stained, not very clean.

William Cruz is if not the best waiter ever had. He took his time to explain the menu and ask us if we had any allergies Then proceeded to recommend the best dishes on the menu. We had an Amazing dinner and wil6be coming back just for him to serve us again.

Know Before You Go: When checking in at Mia Reef you will be given a wrist band to identify your status. If your band is not black (which is for members) you will not be entitled to an “all inclusive” experience. Only some of the wine and spirits are available to you and you will not be welcome to dine in the Italian restaurant. There may also be meals/activities happening where you are not invited to participate. Staff at the resort will offer you a “gift” or “discount” on a meal, spa treatment or other activity to trick you into listening to a time share lecture. If you join the time share program, you will become a member and receive the black wrist band. Our Personal Experience: We booked a Grand Aqua Suite after speaking with the hotel and explaining that my husband had recent knee replacement surgery and would need easy access to the beach. The pictures on the website showed that our room would open directly to the beach. Instead, our room was next to the rooms that opened to a beach like area and we would have to climb down a steep rocky area to get to the beach. Each of the Grand Aqua Suites included an outdoor bed and chair except ours. We had no chairs as the area did not have space. The room had only the necessary furniture and no décor. Our toilet would not flush most of the time and the shower leaked so badly that the bathroom was flooded after every shower. I was told this was their best room when booking. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. After initially viewing the room we were assigned I went straight to the front desk and spoke with Karla, Kevin, and others to request they move us to a different room. I explained that this was not the room we booked and that my husband would have much trouble with the “cliff” down to the beach. I was told that they would “do nothing” and there were no rooms available. I did notice during our stay that the people in the rooms that were “unavailable” were wearing black wrist bands. Hum? We were traveling with 2 other couples who booked the same rooms for the same price and did receive a “beach” front suite. The only accommodation we were given in lieu of moving us to a better location was access to the bed and chairs in front of a room currently under renovation. On a positive note, the A/C in the room worked great and the bed was comfortable. My visit to the spa was very pleasant and the location of the hotel is beautiful. The staff (with the exception of the front desk) were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We found the food average and recommend the grill in the buffet area for the best selections. In Summary: We were treated as 2nd class citizens despite having booked one of their “best” rooms because we were not members and did not wear a black wrist band. I personally will not return to this resort and would not recommend it to a friend. I might even discourage them.

The beach is AMAZING. We were able to snorkel from the hotel and see sting rays, puffer fish, and tons of other vibrant fish. The food was great as well.

I have been trying to get ahold of someone at this resort for over 2 weeks. I have called countless times only to be disconnected. I have also emailed multiple times and have received no response. I made a reservation through the hotel website. I needed to modify my reservation and add a day. It is not an option to do this online. I ended up canceling my first reservation and making a new one through the Mia Reef website because I was concerned that rooms were filling up and we would not be able to join the party we are traveling with. Due to this, I ended up having to pay more for a lower quality room. I still have not seen my original charge refunded to my credit card. I am within the cancellation policy and received a cancellation confirmation email. I am now seeing other customers complain that they have not received refunds either. I would like to speak to someone in regard to this matter and am hoping that by writing a review I can get a reply.

Reserved a deluxe suite with Ocean view and 2 beds. Got rooftop view and a rollaway cot for 2nd bed. They explained they could not guarantee reservations (based on room availability). No apologies, no remorse. They said I would be moved the following day to a 2 bed ocean view. All day; concierge assurances but no apologies or remorse. Evening came and nothing. So, I go to check. They tried to tell me I was moved already! After physical check of room only did they move with sense of urgency. I think they wound up putting me in a comp room for members. I was not offered any apologies, or was remorse ever expressed. Not even a discount or special offer (compensation) for a massage, taxi or anything. 1st time and last time. Disappointing is a kind word to describe my experience.

What a lovely island resort for families, especially families with kids under 15. We travelled with our 2 year old and the beach access to safe shallow waters in the most beautiful beaches in the world was worth it. We went in March and the sargasso had already come in but the beach still smelled fresh and the kelp didn’t bother us at all. The onsite snorkeling has some lovely discoveries as well if you’re patient and careful swimming closer to the bigger rocks. The resort also arranged a snorkeling tour at a discounted rate for us with pick and drop off at the hotel pier which was magical as well. They do invite first time guests to join their membership, and if you listen to their presentation you get a bonus high value gift/service at the resort. The presentation itself was entertaining and sweet, with a tour of the grounds. The salespeople were funny and respectful in not being pushy. We humored each other and had fun. They even offered us a free week trip to Turkey and Isla Mujeres but ultimately the package was not appropriate for our family. It is most suitable for people planning to return to the island frequently specifically to this location. Everywhere you go the staff is always smiling, available, attentive and kind. Shout out to Patricia for accommodating us with such lovely compensation for the presentation, Juan for entertaining our two year old daughter and touring us through the resort, Kevin for concierge service, Viktor, and so many more. The rooms are dated and the food is not the best on the island, but it is fresh with a made to order grill and endless seasonal cut fruit and juices, and accessibility and ease made it worth it for us as a family who just needed to have an array of foods to entice a toddler at every meal. The rooms are clean with five star views, both sunrise and sunset available. We didnt mind the old furnishing since everything was clean and worked. Americans are used to steaming hot water, but the water here is warm at best and that’s pleasant enough for me after a hot day at the beach. Overall, not a five star resort, but perfect for families who want something less intimidating, friendly, safe, and fun. Highlights are snorkeling with coral and fish, kid friendly, excellent staff, excellent cleaning service.
