Ermita Cartagena, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Only stayed one night so can't completely comment on the area. The room was perfect, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

We had a wonderful stay, very clean, delicious breakfast, Sebastian at the front desk was very helpful for our transfer to our next hotel, great value for price. It’s a few minutes walking outside walled city and they offer a shuttle service into walled city if you don’t want to walk. Taxis are plenty and not expensive. My only issue which is a pet peeve of mine is that we arrived at 4pm, 1 hour past check in and our room wasn’t ready but upon a bit of insistance we only waited about 10mins.

The location is great! It was wonderful from the start of the door man Jose’! Then to check in with Zeuz! The hotel is very clean & the Entire staff was friendly & great! We enjoyed the food also and we had servers we enjoyed Jose’ B. & Jose’ also Jonathan😊.The Bartenders were great Dawis at Rooftop & Mr. Wonderful at the downstairs lounge! I’m sorry we forgot his name😫but his wife is a nurse! 💕We are going back again this year and I recommend it highly! If you know Spanish it’s a Plus or use Google translate!

This hotel is a decent hotel. If you are looking for a quick stay, this could be ok. We stayed 3 nights and found a few inconveniences. But because of the short stay it didn’t bother us too much. The most important thing to note is this hotel is on a very very busy street! Think highway style traffic with cars and motorcycles traveling very fast. We were with our 3 and 5 year old this made walking into the town very difficult. Another important note is that this hotel is next to what seems to be an auto mechanic shop. For 2 Of the 3 days they were grinding something down for hours a day. Not such a peaceful rooftop experience. Lastly, this hotel takes full advantage of over charging for food and drinks. For example; We were charged for a bottle of water not realizing how much it would be, later to find out it was 28,000 peso which for us Canadians is almost $10 for a 500ml bottle of water. I understand overcharging at hotels, but this seemed to me to be a bit of a gouge. Their rooftop menus do not have pricing. 42,000 for a bar rail tequila + whatever you would like to mix it with Pros: The beds are very comfy, clean, aesthetically pleasing, friendly (mostly) the door man DAVID was incredibly helpful with our young family each day. Always smiling and cheerful. The breakfast was yummy and fresh.

Vera Nice location , clean and secure really recomendo

We stayed here as we are reward member with Marriott and this was the only hotel in the list for Cartagena. The hotel location is across the beach about 1 mile walk to wall city and historic center. The hotel needs updating. The shower was awesome with high water pressure. They have glass water bottle in the room which can be refilled at the first floor. The bed was comfy, but the elevator does need a good ventilation and change if the carpet. It's very very old. The furniture by the elevator gotta go or get replaced. The pool looked nice on rooftop , but we didnot use it as it was very hot while we were here and too much sun. The buffet breakfast was ok , but Grey at fruit station was so colorful and always cheerful and gave us a good vibe for the rest of the day. You can order eggs anyway you want. Liz at front desk always cheerful and happy to help. Kudos to Grey and Liz to make a difference in our stay. Thank you again, we will miss you !

Old and outdated and no windows in the room. The bathroom had no pressure under the shower. Would expect more from the brand.

I would like to simply write up some helpful points for those wondering whether to book this hotel or not. 1- It is a cheap (under $10) Uber ride from the airport. Maybe 10 mins. 2- The hotel is across the street from a series of beaches all along the road (admittedly, it's a busy road, but not really loud). 3- There is a supermarket a 3-4 minute walk away for purchasing snacks/beverages/alchlohol. 4- The rooftop pool s small but big enough. There is also a rooftop bar and the prices match many of the bars in the old town. 5- Breakfast is a mix of ordering a set amount of egg based items/pancakes/waffles... along with a fruit station, a bread station and varieties of meats etc. Lots of juice, coffee etc. 6- There is a person available (not every day) to assist with booking day trips. 7- There is a small bar at the front of the hotel and they provide refills for your glass water bottles left in the room. 8- The hotel is clean, staff are polite and helpful. 9- The hotel is a walkable distance to the old town (7-8 minutes) to get into the old town to a whole bunch of retail, restaurants, bars etc. Overall, no complaints... highly recommend.
