Courtyard by Marriott Providence Warwick

We were given a room next to the elevator or electric room. It was very noisy and we felt the room trembling.

This hotel is not on par with other Marriotts for a few reasons. First, I specifically chose this hotel because the hotel's website states the pool is heated, and I'm traveling with three young kids who need something fun to do. Upon arriving, the freezing pool is cold as ice. They tried to wade in, but it was just too cold to enter. I asked the front desk staff if they could heat it, and was told no, it's not a heated pool, and "you'll get used to it." (There's a hot tub, but not the same.) Mid-shower, I discovered the conditioner bottle was totally empty - I called the front desk at 8pm to ask for a refill, but no one picked up. So I later went to the front desk, but there was no staff member in sight. Another guest was standing there clueless. I went back an hour later and still no one was at the front desk. I couldn't get anyone to pick up the phone at the front desk all evening. This is a Marriott? Felt like a ghost town. On the plus side, rooms have microwaves and mini fridge. But there are better places to stay.

Very serene

They do not give daily maintenance to your room. The jacuzzi had spiders in it. They say the breakfast is included and they charge you for it and then they give it to you one day and nothing the rest of the days. The morning lady that checks in and out very nasty rude and unhelpful at all. You need to make your own beds daily towels are given weekly clean. Room maintenance it once a week the lady at check in the morning time said to us. Just a complete disaster.

Size of room

Gym out of order. Loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Nonstop yelling and loud guests up until 3am. Had to made multiple complaints with no resolve. Area did not feel safe.

I didn't like the breakfast that was included in the cost of my room. It was not advertised as being more of a Continental and that the little Cafe made me feel like they were doing us a favor by allowing my daughter to have an apple with her muffin. I was very disappointed as I have stayed at other hotels and their breakfast were wonderful. A selling point of a hotel includes breakfast for me, that is what I thought I was getting. I most likely won't stay at another Courtyard. Parking was also poor.

I only slept there. Checked in at 9:30 at night and out the door by 8 am. Close to the customer I was seeing.

Good customer service

The shower curtain liner was cut short and wet the whole floor. The bed made noises and was uncomfortable, the cleaning staff is in the hallway talking loud as they clean and you don’t have to leave early but couldn’t sleep with the cleaning people talking to each other loudly. The only good thing was the balcony but the TV didn’t work. Horrible.
