We had a great time in Antwerp and part of that was due to staying in a centrally-located hotel with friendly staff and everything we needed. I was especially pleased that we had a kettle in the room and a bath.

""Free wifi" but no internet connection"

Horrible wifi. Wifi is "free" but if you want more than dial-up level internet, you must pay premium rate. So no real "free" wifi. Worse yet, reception did not know how to sell the upgrade wifi tokens--so I had a business trip with no internet. Not good

"Nice enough and good location"

Perfectly nice hotel, very well located next to the station. Staff friendly, breakfast perfectly adequate. Wifi worked well. Room and bathroom was clean. Rather noisy outside though, and soundproofing is poor. Randomly, and not the fault of the hotel of course, there was a pop concert in the main square outside my window, that started at 6am. A very loud concert that started with pop music, then moved onto drum and bass, and back to pop again. Who starts a pop concert at 6am?!!! Anyway, fair to say it kept me awake, but overall a nice stay.

"Leonardo Hotel, Antwerp"

The Leonardo was a nice enough hotel but it was the staff that made our stay. The location of the hotel is just across from the train station. It was a very busy spot. We arrived around 11:00 and went directly to the hotel to see if could leave our luggage since check in time wasn't until later. They found us a room right away and things were great. Unfortunately, our room faced a back street where there were cafes, which wasn't a problem until that night. The party went on until 4:15 am. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep. In the morning, we asked to have our room changed to an inner room and they were so accommodating. They changed our room to an inner room with a/c. the rest of our stay was terrific.
