Moxy Birmingham NEC

I was an exhibitor at Animecon UK Birmingham and I loved how close the hotel was to the exhibition centre (Hall 5), as tiredness is lingering at the end of the day and you just need to drop yourself to bed, so it was my first choice to stay. The hotel on its own is beautiful, modern and awfully cozy regarding its vibes, as if you're entering a lounge restaurant. The staff was very helpful and polite, as well as the room was rather clean all over, especially its bathroom and sheets. The bed was comfortable as well, perfect sleep. The breakfast buffet had an adequate, lovely variety of breakfast.

I believe that it should be a an adjustment regarding the prices of the room service menu, they were a bit pinched. (Regardless of the food tasting very, very good. The goat cheese salad is a MUST.) The rooms could use a bit of more usable space such as drawers, a mini fridge or wardrobe just to make the storage of things more flexible. The television couldn't be connected to any device such as a laptop to watch a movie at, as only screen mirroring was available via our phones, allowing only certain apps to stream such as Netflix and YouTube.

I hated it

This hotel is NOT for old or infirm people. Or someone who needs safe guarding stock because you have to park your car 1 mile away and walk back to the hotel. No safes. Interior designed by graffiti children, school tables for breakfast, PARKING 42 pounds a night 1 mile away! NO welcome from the reception at a bar. Assumed i could hear while the music was playing. If you are of an age past 40 DO NOT BOOK

Right next to the NEC, so I had no trouble getting to and from the venue. The staff were also very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast had a good variety. The room was clean and functional.
