It's quaint older mountain lodge, but it has fallen into disrepair and the painting etc they are doing is substandard. I've stayed there a few times, not any more.

The hotel is obviously in need of renovation however economically that would be a financial strain on the business. It was comfy enough. The staff was outstanding - super nice and helpful - always pleasant and smiling

"Great location, but the hotel needs some work."

Location

The room had a smelly odor and the portable ac was dirty, the room walls were so thin you could hear people outside. The hotel stairs were also loose and hazardous.

"It’s nice just dirty."

The property’s location is perfect, it’s in the heart of Big Bear.

The back yard was filthy with trash and cobwebs. There were a million ants inside. Paid 266 per night, I expected a little more. I hoped a bug didn’t crawl in my ear at night.
