La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca

The service, the dining, the amenities - exceptional. As was the facility itself. All well maintained.

From the moment we arrived at La Residencia in Mallorca, it was clear we were in for something truly special—thanks in large part to the outstanding leadership and warm hospitality of General Manager Thomas Moon. Our experience began effortlessly with the porters immediately stepping in to take care of our luggage and encouraging us to simply hand over the car keys and relax. From there, we were invited to enjoy a welcome drink at the bar while our check-in was being arranged. It was a small gesture, but it set the tone for what would be an impeccably curated stay. Thomas personally greeted us, taking the time to make sure we were comfortable and to offer assistance with dinner reservations because he truly prioritise the guests under his scope. Even more impressive was how his gracious attitude seemed to be mirrored by every staff member we encountered, creating a seamless and welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire property. La Residencia itself is breathtaking. Nestled among the hills of Deià, the views are nothing short of spectacular. The property is beautiful but there are quite a few stairs so older folks who cannot walk should beware. Our room was both cosy and comfortable because we got upgraded and the view from every window is picturesque. I cannot highlight anything but Thomas moon, just for him it was worth the trip!! If not it would feel like any other hotel!!

Все красиво, начиная от шезлонга и заканчивая салфеточкой под бокалом шампанского. Встретили с приветственным напитком и закусками в отличном месте. Красивая архитектура. Наличие теннисного корта. Дали в подарок пляжную плетению сумку и брелок в виде тапочка, супер!

Единственное что не понравилось - ресторан Оливо. Отвратительно не вкусное меню. Виды и антураж как всегда на высшем уровне, все остальное в этом ресторане нам не понравилось. В двух других ресторанах намного вкуснее и лучше.

This was our 7th trip to this hotel and as normal everything was perfect. The hotel, facilities, staff and Deia village itself was perfect.

Nestled in the stunning Tramuntana mountains, with panoramic views of the old town village of Deia, this hotel is more than a place to stay — it’s a soul-restoring experience. The staff redefine hospitality. The reception staff are exceptional, so warm and welcoming on arrival, intuitive, they anticipate your every need. From the personalized check-in and welcome drink on the terrace to the nightly turndown service complete with a padded cushion to step out of bed onto and the softest of slippers! The hotel itself and our suite were beautifully appointed, blending old world Mallorquín charm with modern luxury. The plush bedding guarantees a blissful night sleep, and the views from the windows and terraces are incredible. The restaurants are fantastic, and the service and attentiveness of the staff is outstanding. Dining on the terrace of the Tramuntana grill watching the sunset into the Mediterranean is magical. Breakfasts were equally impressive, with options that catered to every taste. La Residencia is not just a hotel it’s a sanctuary, an escape from the real world where you will rediscover peace and harmony. Whether you’re looking for romance, solitude, or inspiration, you’ll find it here. We left feeling completely relaxed and renewed, and already planning our return! Cannot recommend highly enough.

I stayed at La Residencia during spring break and have truly never experienced a hotel like this — pure magic from start to finish. It’s not just the breathtaking location in the Tramuntana mountains, but the exceptional level of service that makes this hotel one-of-a-kind. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and communication were flawless. Every single detail — from the food presentation to the thoughtful in-room touches — was impeccable. I want to personally thank David and Francisco, whose warmth, kindness, and professionalism made each day feel extra special. And a heartfelt thank you to General Manager Thomas, whose attentive leadership is felt throughout the entire property. The staff truly anticipates your every need. The spa was a serene sanctuary. I loved the sauna, and the overall ambiance was incredibly relaxing. The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a proper workout — no shortcuts here. Food-wise, the breakfast was divine, and every bite I had throughout my stay was fresh and high quality. I didn’t get to try El Olivo this time, but it’s absolutely on my list for next time — and yes, there will be a next time. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, nestled between mountains and near the quaint town of Deià. Whether you’re strolling through the gardens, lounging by the pool, or sipping wine while overlooking the olive groves, you’ll feel like you’re living in a dream. La Residencia is, without a doubt, the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed at — a true gem where luxury, warmth, and soul all coexist. Can’t wait to return!

We had a flawless stay of 8 nights in LR, everything experience there is top rated. Our superior junior suite is perfect, decent space, comfortable bed. Housekeeping is very efficient and detail oriented. Turndown service with gift every night, it’s a little expectation for me every night :-) Tried all restaurants in the hotel, breakfast is always Belmond quality + Mallorca local ingredients, fresh & tasty; dinners during 8 nights we had once in El Olivo, 3 times in Tramuntana Grill, and twice room service. Plus the afternoon tea in Mirò and many drinks there, I have to say I love all food I had during these 8 days! I’m a person who enjoys the original taste of ingredients, and all restaurants in LR made me so satisfied. When room service, they always bring a flower, details always show in LR service. All staff are very kind, from restaurant to reception, concierge, hotel management, pool, SPA, everyone. Service is impeccable, the reason I choice Belmond is from my confidence to its perfect service in each hotel I stayed, and LR definitely makes it in the best way. GM Thomas I met him every morning during breakfast if he is in hotel, greeting and talking to his guests and listen to their feedback; we can also feel all staff passion on their work when we talk to them, they are professional & friendly, always smile - not simply in a working style, they are sincere. I believe by staff training efforts, LR guarantees they are give guests the top experience. Highlights and chapeau to all activities that LR arranges in daily basis, from complementary ones to customized ones, we joined some of them. Cocktails and arts I had the chance to talk with some hotel staff and management people, they are so kind and so proud of the hotel/ their work, we also purchased a paint!meet the donkey is such a relax and interesting one, very first time I touched a donkey; sunset cruise is definitely a masterpiece, I can’t believe this one even it’s complimentary; Hiking with GM is something you can’t miss, good way to explore the big area within hotel property but won’t see in your daily stay there. Also the one I joined, first light hiking, amazing, when Deià is quite and empty, when first light touch the sea the mountain and my face, it’s simply a blessing We also tried 3 treatments in the SPA, after spending some time at pool. Both facial and massage are professional and great. The jacuzzi and indoor pool area also an ideal choice if you would like to enjoy some quite moment, they’re less crowded than pool, usually. As a person who likes plan, very happy to receive email from concierge abt all my activities or bookings, special thanks to them for all supports on my requests. It’s an amazing hotel, and it’s a great team. I’m very sure I will come back, and highly recommended.
