The breakfast. I’ve never had a worse experience. The room where we went for breakfast was dirty, unwelcoming, cold and the food looked inedible. The staff were rude and grumpy. I could hardly eat anything it was really bad.

Use caution when booking a transient slip at this marina. On July 24, 2025, I made 2 transient slip reservations for one night in January 2026. All seemed fine until I looked at my credit card charges on November 10th when I noticed 2 credits from Skipjack Marina for the amounts of the reservations I had made. I subsequently called the marina to ensure that I did indeed have the 2 slips reserved. I was told that the marina had been overbooked and my reservations had been cancelled. No phone call, no voicemail, no email, no apology, and no offer to help secure alternate accommodations; just the surprise credit to my credit card (which I did appreciate). It seems to me that just cancelling a slip reservation with no communication with the tenant is a poor business practice. I suspect that the marina wanted to make space for a lengthier period and, since ours was only for one night, it was the first to go.

Room as expected and clean. everything in working order in room. only microwave for cooking and small fridge. location decent..near Sombrero Beach, Publix, etc. quiet area. road around hotel currently has a lot of construction. Downside: pool/tiki bar washrooms are currently out of order and need to use port a potties or return to room if the need arises. plumbers are working on facilities daily. staff friendly. breakfast daily with no variation. balcony overlooked parking lot, view of the channel was on the entry side of unit.

Great central location for visiting the keys, and food at the bar was excellent
