Sheraton Mountain Vista Villas, Avon / Vail Valley

Our room was right off the elevator on the 2nd floor. The space was perfect for a couple with one large master bedroom and bath. Liked the fireplace in the living area and we had a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the room was dark. Liked having the washer and dryer and dishwasher in the room. We had our own breakfast and went out for dinner with lots of dining options close by. Easy bus service to the top of Beaver Creek right across the street or you could walk to the lower lift to get to Bachelor Gulch. So easy! We enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and fitness center but a larger pool is also available and towels are there for your use. Indoor parking kept our EV vehicle warm and free from snowfall and a battery charger was located there for easy charging. A small retail area was ideal as we could purchase microwavable food, wine or other beverages- smart!!

We've stayed here several times. The very location is convenient for skiing at Beaver Creek. There's a bus stop across the street with a shuttle either to Avon Station and a short walk to a gondola or to the top. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. It's challenging to find an available ski locker though.

Easy access to skiing at Beaver Creek. Walkable to many restaurants in Avon. Villa was clean and everything worked properly. Bathroom needs a refreshing, dated design.

Hard beds

We were surprised at the checkin when told that there was no restaurants in the hotel. But it turned out to be no a problem at all (except that the coffee machine could be updated!). The one-bedroom suite at the Sheraton Mountain Vista provides a homey feeling: fireplaces, jacuzzi, washer and dryer, dining set, and a fully equipped kitchen. Though the housekeeping was every other day, the cleanliness was maintained well. The conceirge was cordial and helpful, answering many of our questions. The gym and sauna was small but enough. The game room is a full floor, with two pool tables. There are several restaurants nearby with walking distance. Shuttle stops are right at the door, providing easy access to the Beever Creek skiing resort. We had a great time here - definitely would be happy to come back.

I've stayed at a few different properties in the Breckenridge/Vail/Avon area. While Sheraton Mountain Vista is not my first choice, it is fine for what it is and I would not mind coming back. The property has everything you would expect: indoor parking, outdoor hot tub, ski lockers, shuttles and in room laundry. I came during early ski season and I don't know whether the level of service and availability or amenities like parking and hot tubs would be less during peak ski season but it was not an issue during my stay. Being in town was great. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee and ski shops if we wanted to. Some of the fixtures could use upgrading in the kitchen and bathrooms but again, not a huge deal. I would consider coming back.
