Hilton Lille

Location was so perfect so close to the train station and within really short walk to the city centre. Staff extremely helpful, we had a problem with our room during our stay and it was sorted out really quickly with no hassle.

The location . The room was a decent size.

The room did not have enough sockets and they were not in a very convenient location. There were no sockets by the mirror so it was difficult to dry hair etc. Also there was no ironing board, only a steamer. We were told an ironing board and iron would be supplied but we did not receive one. We would have preferred a separate shower rather than one in the bath.

The hotel was perfectly located for what we wanted, that is easy access by train and walkable to the centre. The reception staff were friendly, supportive and helpful.

The coffee/tea provided in the room wasn't replaced by housekeeping. The bar was frequently unattended. Overall, for the money it didn't feel like value.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Location was very handy to coach stops and railway station. It was close to a large shopping centre and a short walk to the 'old' town centre

Restaurant and bar facilities were very hit and miss and not open when we needed them (i.e. evening meals). Staff were pleasant but not particularly helpful.

Room van spacious, good bed, clean. Location nearby city centre, parking below hotel and close to railway station.

We could hear sounds room next to use. Alarm of room next to use went of very early 3 mornings after each other, 2 times no people in the room :(, informed front desk but next morning same ritual. Shower separation to little, shower floor gets wet too easily. Overall had expect higher standards from Hilton.

The hotel was walking distance from the city centre and the old town. On the map it looked like a long way, but in fact it was 15 minutes or so and also took in the Eurostar terminal and the main train station. The staff were friendly and the hotel room was big. We had a minor problem with the room, but it was resolved quickly by being moved to another room and a free upgrade. Breafast was all freshly prepared and the breakfast room light and airy.

The parking is a bit mental and even if there is a 'deal' with the hotel, it still resulted in a 38 euro parking fee for less than 24h. The entrance to the parking is insanely tight and getting out and back in is a dark art. While not actually under the control of the hotel, it is the parking associated with the hotel.
