The Juniperlea Inn

Female member of staff who checked us in and was also our waitress at dinner was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Room was nicely decorated and furnished, a tad on the small side but suited our overnight stop.

There was road noise but double glazing dulled most of it but this did mean if you needed a cooler room you had to open the window. Disappointed that there was no breakfast service as booking.com site had stated exceptional breakfast. (The room manual did state that a continental breakfast could be provided to the room at an additional charge)

The rooms were lovely very comfortable, everything you need absolutely will be back.

We had a family room so there was a lot of space for just the two of us. It's right next to a fairly major road, but the room was quiet enough and we were exhausted after a long ride so it didn't keep us awake. The restaurant was lovely.

Nothing that we didn't like, everything was excellent during our stay.

Although info says breakfast continental due to covid we thought this was old info. There is no hot breakfast which was a shame. No hot milk in the morning to do our coffees and coffee machine only had Americano - we did ask for latte pods but there were non.(this would have made a big difference) The soap in the bathroom felt watered down compared with others we had used over the last two weeks The door code - great in principle but no indoor locking device so felt insecure as not sure how often code changed. Would mean a female by self is exposed to risk as previous person would have main door code and room code - we put a chair up behind door but needs reviewing.
