Jakes Hotel

Staff are great and the facilities are excellent. Jake’s is a resort but it’s not cut off from the local community. It’s easy to come and go as you please. Everyone knows each other in town and will help visitors figure things out. There are plenty of excursion options, but no one will pressure or try to hard sell you on anything. The seafood is exceptional. Every single meal was very good…It’s just a great place.

Jakes is really a magical place. Unlike some of the properties you see on Expedia, the photos really do a good job of reflecting what this place is like: eclectic, bohemian, simple, colorful, beautiful. The food is good--you can actually get an authentic Jamaican breakfast here--and the staff is really nice. There are no TVs in the room, so bring a book and relax. Wonderful.

We stayed at the Sea Dragon, which is a lovely property , which comes with a chef and house cleaner if requested. There are wonderful views from the house and safe to walk around the Treasury Beach area. It is a nice community. The pool was cleaned daily. My only cons is that we were not told Jakes would be closed for renovation until we arrived and the Sea Dragon Villa has a few maintenance issues, which needs addressing:- Shower in one of the rooms was not working well. The oven did not work. Drains in the kitchen sink were blocked.

Absolutely loved staying at Jakes for the 4th time. Everything was spot on. Stayed at Calabash cottage. One small suggestion Perhaps either housekeeping or cottage staff could clean off the outdoor seating and chairs each morning.

Beautiful people, rooms and views. Excellent boutique hotel. Looking forward to my next visit to recharge and renew!

It’s my happy place! If I’m in Treasure Beach, it’s a must! I love love love the atom’s sphere and the authentic ambiance…. You must stay here ! Trust me…. I’ve been to all of the top hotels…. Nothing beats the charm and return to nature feel of Jakes! A forever supporter of this gem.

Liked the ocean, disliked the wasps

On of the most amazing places we have been! Loved everything and hope to come again when we can stay longer. Thank you for a wonderful few days❤️

We had a moderate trail of tiny ants in the restroom and around the restroom doorway leading into the bedroom area. I had a small bottle of tea tree oil spray and took care of the problem myself. Im sure if I’d called the front desk they would have been more than happy to take care of it for us. The stay was nice. The remote control for the AC unit was broken.

It was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Whimsical and completely charming. Occasionally, when seated for dining we had to remind the waitstaff that we were still there, waiting. Aside from that, the food and drinks were delicious. Jack Sprat, their sister restaurant also had fantastic food. The only other issue was that there was not very much close by. Other than Jack Sprat, everthing else was a drive. It really didn't bother us, though. The main issue I had was with Expedia itself. They did not inform me that we would be staying off property. (Jake's also has a nearby cottage & villa which are quite secluded). It would have been nice to know this at the time, since when we arrived, we were expecting to stay right there. It all worked out in the end, and we had a wonderful time.
