The woman at the front desk was very nice. But our room was filthy and smelly, dated and shabby. Our sheets kept slipping off the mattress. The AC/heat wasn't working. Carpet was disgusting. Bathroom floor was definitely not cleaned. We weren’t told the heat and air was in between seasons. It looked as though someone tried to break into the hotel on the same floor as plywood covered a window. Friends next to us moved to another hotel. We should have done the same. The rooms need maintenance, deep cleaning and a redo.

The pictures and advertisements for this facility are the closest thing to false advertising if not actual. I've traveled to third world countries and have never seen such abysmal conditions. If we could have found better accommodations we would have and when we complained about the room, we were advised that no other rooms were available. The first morning we were greeted by a stopped up bathtub with someone else's hair around our feet and legs, the sink had no stopper, the entrance roof was falling down, only one elevator was working, the ceiling in our room was falling in, the carpet was damp and if you wore socks they felt wet, the smell of stale cigarettes was throughout the halls and stairwells, it didn't appear to be ADA compliant, there were huge potholes in the parking lot, there were broken and boarded up windows on both sides of the facility, there were window shaker A/C units, the chair was broken and torn, rust was on the vents...

When we got to our room we had put my wife's Diabetes medicine and insulin in the fridge after a few hours it was not working .We told the front desk and she came to see and she noticed it wasn't working after so many times coming and going they said they were going to down grade us to a double queen bed room. When we got to the room with all our bagages we notice so much crap on top of the window sill and the ceiling falling all over the air condition throwing it all in the air. We refused to stay in that room and went back to the room we had as ( they refuse to switch the fridge) it was the only one left .So i decided to fill up my little cooler so the insulin and other medicine would stay in a cool place over night as this was expensive medecine .The front desk said they would give us a discount which never happened .Just unacceptable

A very nice place to stay in the downtown area of Massena. We walked all around downtown and found local restaurants for dinner. Beautiful antique furniture in the impressive lobby area of the hotel.
