The Indian cuisine was good. The staff were pleasant.

The buildings are very tatty and DO NOT match the online photos. None of the online menus exist. The breakfast was very poor on our first morning and my wife couldn’t eat hers as it wasn’t cooked properly. However having had a lovely Indian meal the previous evening (albeit quite pricey) we thought we would stick with our booking for the evening of the 26th. We went there to celebrate our Sapphire wedding anniversary and it was awful. We expected the advertised menu and had decided our meals but what we were offered was a glorified cafe menu with just one choice of steak which was overcooked and tough. A lasagne is not fine dining and my wife was very upset. She had packed clothes to wear for an occasion but left them unworn as she said she would be overdressed in the grubby, dark dining area. The tables were sticky and the carpet was dreadfully stained. There was no effort made to make any of the public areas welcoming and we cut our stay because it was so bleak. Our ‘chalet’ was very dated with dodgy Wi-Fi, a TV that sounded like it was going to explode and the sink has a huge crack in it. The walls were thin enough to hear conversations and bathroom activities next door and outside was a Pergola ready to collapse, cigarette ends and general detritus on the ground, all completed by a dog poo bin at the start of the entrance. After seeing my wife so upset about the dinner I decided to leave a day earlier than planned. I believe we were deliberately deceived by false images and claims on the website and someone should be held responsible. I also think that this hotel should not be allowed on any booking site until all the issues are addressed.

we was told not to travel by police and highways due to high floods in the area and seen in the news all week so rang this hotel and got little help just told to contract booking .com of which there is no contract number on emails with set answers we had no choice but not to travel ,did not offer a refund or another date. ,all told poor service by both would not booked again with hotel or booking .com

Due to traffic problems called and tried to get a later check in but told there would be no staff to let us in because the hotel was quiet. After booking different accommodation I then received a call an hour later saying they would leave a key out.

Free Parking and Free Wifi, Clean and Comfortable Room, Quiet and Convenient, Dog Friendly with Beautiful Views.

Felt rushed by Staff at Meal Times (Dinner and Breakfast). Accommodation and Food was also a little bit pricey. Pub and Rooms looked like they could do with some TLC/Repairs/Makeover.
