Thunderbird Beach Resort

The Thunderbird was a great resort, perfectly situated on the beach with a tiki bar and pool. The rooms were nice and clean. But, you can hear the visitors next door pretty clearly through the walls. The hot tub was not working and unfortunately the night we arrived there was so much rain the area outside the rooms flooded. The staff was great and got it cleared away after the rain. I wish the area around had a few more food options. I would recommend it for a nice beach getaway!

Room very clean. Stay ocean side beautiful view every morning. At night music playing. Easy access to the beach. Will stay again.

We love the Thunderbird and have been coming here for years for our celebrations. The new rooms are beautiful, but I did see a couple roaches in the bathroom. The floor was quite Sandy.We had to keep our shoes on the whole time to keep our feet from getting filthy. So i'm guessing the floors weren't swept or vacuumed. That was kind of disgusting. But the rest of our stay was quite fun. We love the bands and the music and the bar!

This place is for people who enjoy a lively atmosphere and don't mind the boisterous ambiance. During my stay, the hotel offered live music and guests having a good time well into the evening. Some areas could be cleaner, like the guest laundry, but I'll cut them some slack because I saw they were doing repairs. I booked here specifically because the beach was located right behind the hotel, but the sand stretched on for pretty long until we could reach the actual water. Despite the little bit of distance, the beach was pleasantly uncrowded. Overall, we had a great time and would book again!
