Sleep Inn & Suites Metairie - New Orleans West

The property needs updating. There was rust in the bathroom, and under the refrigerator. The pillows were very small like they were old pillows that had been cut in half. One good thing the hot water was great.

There was dirt in the bathroom it smelled horrible and the beds were very uncomfortably

It was cozy

The non-smoking room smelt like an ash tray and had a cigarette butt on the floor. The tub was peeling paint which I can get, but there were hairs all over around it. Towels were stained. Not positive but I also think the fire alarm was missing, unless there were 2 types. Overall felt gross and didn’t even want to get under the covers.

Room was in very poor condition and the toilet did not work !

The bed was incredibly hard. I kept waking up all night. I even switched to the other bed and it was the same.

The hotel has aged

Both rooms had bugs. Very outdated. Tv screen had red and green vertical lines. Ceiling had what looked to be mold growing or maybe it was just dirty. No ventilation in bathroom-hinges were rusted out. No USB ports in room, only120 volts. Mini fridge leaks. People living in their cars on street outside property and adjacent to the overflow parking lot. Would not stay again. Front desk staff was nice enough as I kept having to have room keys reprogrammed numerous times. Oh and take the stairs. The elevator broke the first day and then again the next day. I took the stairs for the next three days.

You can hear a lot of noise from other rooms and the shower curtain was in poor condition and all the water fell outside, the water in the sink remained stagnant.
