"Melia All Inclusive Cozumel"

10.0

This was our second stay at the Melia all inclusive in Cozumel. We were here last year and enjoyed it so much we came back. We loved the beautiful beach which felt almost private. No crowds. No trouble getting chairs and umbrellas. The beach was clean, raked every day, seaweed removed every day. The beach bar at the Mole was great. We did not stay in the Level hotel, but the more modest part of the resort. The rooms were basic. but very clean. The beds were comfortable. The furniture was dated but who cares? We just stept there. The air conditioner worked great, but it was a bit loud. The shower had fantastic water pressure. The shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided seemed to be good quality. The free room fridge was a nice touch and we used it daily. We found the food at the buffet excellent. There was good variety evrery day, at every meal. The food was flavourful. Only on New Years day did we find the food a bit disappointing, because it was left overs from the day before. The food at the Fish House and Mole restaurants were very good. Service was great. Overall, this resort was great value for the money. We were a family group of 5 adults and 2 young childrent, and everyone had a great time.

"Hidden Gem"

8.0

Nice smaller resort with great staff. We ate breakfast and dinner several times in the Fish House rather than the buffet. The wait staff was very welcoming. Our concierges at the poo and beach could not do enough for us. A short walk to the Lobster House is worth it. There are 2 and we tried both. The coffee and ice cream spot by the kids pool was our afternoon treat. We normally go to the Paradisus Cancun but do to renovations we came to Melia Cozumel & it didn’t disappoint!

"Only complaints was food"

8.0

My only real complaint was the food. Buffet was just ok, specialty restaurants were also just ok. Fish house was good, Mexican was ok but the taco restaurant wasn’t good. Kids both got bones in their tacos. Even coconut rum was top shelf and not available, I got denied twice but my wife didn’t and I saw other women allowed so maybe send the wife if you want Leveilled up alcohol.

Great place to get away. Service, rooms, staff were all great! Safe location, beach was great, pool was good on a hot day as the water was cool. Convenience/gift store prices were on the expensive side for snacks and water.

"A Quiet, Family Friendly Experience with Plenty of Great Service"

10.0

Melia Cozumel is a fantastic, family friendly resort that is small enough to navigate easily while big enough to feel plenty of space. The highlight of this resort it is service and family friendly demeanor. Kids are treated as guests and not as an after thought. I highly recommend the Level upgrade, as the private beach areas offer Bali beds, reserved palapa, and beverage service. Further, you’re treated to top shelf liquors and the on call concierge service. Our dedicated concierge, Gerardo, was helpful in many ways including on site restaurant reservations, off site restaurant reservations, and by providing information on request. The Level upgrade also brought special attention for our little one (5 years old), who greatly appreciated the gifts, treats, and activities. You will likely see many reviews about the food. As the resort is smaller, so too is the buffet selection. Food can be hit or miss, and if food is your primary reason for excitement at an all inclusive then you might look elsewhere. Reservations at the a la carte restaurants can be limited, which is another area the Level concierge is very helpful. With all that said, if you’re more about rest and relaxation than dining, the food is just fine (there are also many restaurants within a short walk or cab ride.) Simply put, this is a fantastic place to relax, catch rays, read a book and unwind. The staff are clearly happy to help and will accommodate almost any ask. If you are a little higher maintenance and require elite-level food and experiences (shows, etc.), that’s okay - just look elsewhere. Our family has now been twice during the holiday season over the past couple of years and we’ve loved the peaceful, quiet, high quality service experience. We look forward to returning next year.

"Terrible experience"

2.0

Terrible service, the Level bracelet will not get you anything beyond what you see around. The hotel is old, the pools are cold, the sea covered in sargasso. You cannot reserve a table for dinner at the restaurants or book a bed on the beach if it’s not with 48hrd of anticipation which is absurd. It’s a small crowded hotel, no space for guests to lay around if there’s bad weather. The beds are uncomfortable, outdated tvs, and the button for the Level experience on the phone doesn’t work for much. I asked them to book us a cab to go to town and they told me I had to go downstairs to book it with the bellman. Why can’t they call the bellman if I’m paying extra for a better customer service?? Dining options are limited and lines are long at any given time. Room service menu is scant (only two main dishes and three starters) Never coming back, awful experience, no service in the beach, you have to get your drinks yourself at the bar and walk back to your daybed. The Level people will talk to you for half an hour about the amenities but then you wont be able to book any of them. Meliá is sadly a chain of hotels that once was top of the line and now is just a sad shadow of what it used to be. Don’t come here with your family, specially during Christmas and new years (freezing cold pools and not enough activities)

"Great hotel and beach location"

10.0

Food and drinks are awesome, the staff was super polite and instrumental to us. The activities for the kids at the pool area are great! Overall one of the best hotels we have been in. If you don't have kids there's an adults only pool and beach area. As a family we didn't need it, everything was amazing!
