Holland America Denali Lodge

This property is awesome. The shuttle drivers are the best.

We were given a room in the front of the building which was extremely noisy. The housekeeping was also nit done. When we asked the following day, we were told that we should have told them that we need the room made up the day before. The staff on the reception that we interacted with, was also rude and unprofessional.

The property is very convenient in that there are nice food/shopping options on site. Lobby and public areas are nice but the room/bathroom was worn & dated. Carpet was worn, mattresses were terrible. It was clean. We stayed two nights and the room not serviced during our stay.

The location was so close to the park. The staff was superb. It is a property of Holland America so it’s very busy. It seemed that they were organized for cruise passengers. Unfortunately, no elevator for 2nd floor, no fridge & no microwave. The location though was amazing!!

This is a beautiful property that I highly recommend. The resort itself is gorgeous and the rooms are large and very comfortable. After spending more for a room in Seward that wasn't even close to being in the same league as this one, I was pleasantly surprised and amazed by the McKinley Chalet Resort. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Very nice employees…nice property- Housekeeping? Knocking at the door at 8am was uncalled for though- I would definitely stay here again-

Well the location is great and opposite nice cafes and restaurants. And views are great as well. And that’s about it because the rooms are as bad as it gets. Like a cheap motel. And the service is bad. We were a family travelling with kids, and the front desk staff refused to send anyone from the bell desk to help with our luggage. They claimed they are a “resort” and don’t do that!! That’s crazy. Our rooms were on a 2nd floor with sweaty wooden steps and we had to get all our luggage down and to the front by ourself.

Enjoyed the views and the community location. Sitting on the deck of the restaurant listening to live music and reading a book having a beer.

We enjoyed our stay at this property although the check in process seemed to be very difficult for whatever reason. We booked two rooms which seemed to confuse the staff. One room was ready and one wasn't and when I went to get the keys for the room that wasn't ready they said they didnt see that we had another room booked. They also said their system didnt show which room we already received keys for which seems very strange.
