Gateway Coonoor

We traveled together as a couple and were visiting Coonoor for the first time. Booked this last minute for 4 nights and it was the best decision ever. Because it was off-season we were able to get a great rate and the Taj hospitality shone through. Special mention to Evin and every staff member, from front desk staff all the way to security staff were extremely welcoming, positive and warm to deal with. They all contributed to an incredible stay and were extremely helpful and accomodating. We also visited the spa and were extremely pleased with the services. We spotted ducks who wander about, experienced a bonfire, the room we were in even had a fireplace, we went for a nature walk (guided by Evin) and spotted a bison in natural habitat. Highly highly recommend this property and we can't wait to go back ❤️

It was one of the most beautiful properties I've visited in India, and in the most beautiful location with amazing, and welcoming locals. The property also had a fascinating history, and peaceful atmosphere. I visited during the week and therefore, it was a bit more empty, but the staff was still fully staffed and giving full services. It felt so personal, and a more than a 5-star experience. I was so inspired, I made a painting of the hotel's garden area, and the little ducks that roam - freely around the area. Oh, and cute monkeys around the location :) Made the experience even better.

It was a delightful experience! Gateway Coonoor is a wonderful property with a small no of rooms but the team is big at heart and their personalised attention ensured that we were pampered in every way, during our stay. The lush green surroundings with wonderful views of the hills, mist and clouds were serene and dreamy. The convenient location of the hotel further ensured that shopping and sightseeing was all, close at hand. Overall, an awesome experience!
