Property needs a lot of refurbishment

It looks very old

Beautiful heritage property, well kept with all modern amenities without sacrificing its heritage design and character. Extremely polite and attentive associates who are willing to stretch to delight. Well appointed large rooms with small living/guest area, big bed room, small dressing area and a clean bathroom. The land on which the property is situated is really beautiful, well keep and manicured lawns and a riot of colours with a multitude of flowering plants, trees and shrubs. A whole bunch of monkeys were running around and property and they had some squirrels and a lot of birds for company. Good restaurant and tasty food for the most part. Decent breakfast spread with a mix of traditional South Indian and British fare.

Great place for a comfortable and memorable stay if you are visiting Coonoor. Very beautifully maintained heritage property and a fabulous bunch of associates. All willing to go the extra mile to make your stay beautiful. Breakfast is a good mix of traditional South Indian and British fare. Beautifully maintained garden all around with an abundance of colours with all kinds of flowers. Do keep an eye out for the monkeys who might decide to visit you, if you leave the door open.

Very good and relaxing experience. Theresa and Leona were very helpful and made the stay enjoyable. The hotel is extremely well maintained and has ample places for kids to play.

The rooms are not ready as per hour request. Even though we reached late at 10, which the Gateway was aware was the case, the night duty receptionist was not even aware about our reservation. The food in the restaurant was not at all up to Park.

Family of 4 of us started at Gateway. Drove down from Bangalore to Coonoor. You can expect a warm welcome from the gate to settling down at your room. Very nice and accommodative staff, thorough knowledge about the property, local area, weather conditions and always ready to help. We had a memorable stay at Gateway.
