Americas Best Value Inn - Seymour

The hotel was very clean! Fit and finishes were much better than a major brand hotel stayed at days before. Nice to have hot breakfast items. Unfortunately, it is located directly by a railway line but wasn’t too bad.

Very rude. One of our group members vehicle broke down and we had to cut out vacation short. The owner was very rude and visibly upset with us that we needed to leave a day early, going so far as to glare,refuse to speak, only communicating in grunts and huffs, and generally behaving like an adolescent not getting their way. Despite giving more than 24hrs notice of our need to cancel he decided to be rude about it, as if we were intentionally trying to take advantage of the situation. No one in our group was excited about leaving. No one was happy about our group members vehicle breaking down 12 hrs from home. The circumstances that arose made the end of our vacation very stressful and the owner only added to that by treating us like he did.

Exceptionally clean

Old and ran down. Had a smell when you entered. Lobby furniture was old out dated and torn. Breakfast area had 3-4 tables. Not a lot of area. Needed a fresh coat of paint.

The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good for the price

The price/quality ratio was a bit on the high side

Price was a little high for a one individual overnight traveler. Need a better rate for a senior traveler.

The gentleman that checked me in was very rude. The room had the appearance of being clean at first look. Found hairs and dirt in one of the beds. The shower wall was dirty and and quite disgusting. Booked for 2 nights, stayed one. Was also charged a $50 deposit that has not been refunded.
