Hotel Rival

My stay at Rival in June 2026 was excellent, as always over the last 20 years. It is amazing how the whole concept of the hotel has stayed the same while feeling fresh and ever so welcoming. Proof of this is the vivid mixture of guests, business travelers, families, cool urbans and energetic retirees. All enjoying the absolute top breakfast buffet together.Long before sustainability became a crucial issue, Rival invented long lasting measure built furniture, adding softness with surrounding textiles in the spirit of intelligent Scandinavian design not looking to be "trendy". Central at Rival is the warm welcoming, the sense of hospitality making you feel at home. There is nothing you can not ask for , and staff will do anything possible to make you feel happy. The theatre, the bar, the taverna , the location right on Mariatorget give you an opportunity to be part of an exceptional day/night genuine Stockholm experience!

Great hotel , lovely comfortable beds , great location, but most of all staff were excellent and couldn't have been more friendly, special mention to the night porter who was so nice and friendly complete gentleman.

Very nice hotel, nicely designed and well situated in from of a park.

The room was very nice and clean, the staff was super helpful with all we needed (we went there with a 1 year old baby), the location was excellent.

Breakfast could be a bit better, but it was ok overall.

The minute we arrived the reception staff was wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. Our room was lovely and the bathroom had a terrific shower and lots of space for toiletries. Our room was on the same floor as the coffee/snack area and ice maker and it was very convenient but not noisy at all. Breakfast was wonderful as they not only had a hearty buffet but also offered made to order items and many were able to be prepared gluten free. We enjoyed the location of the hotel as there were many things to do in walking distance and lots of great restaurants nearby. We loved this hotel and will definitely return on our next visit to Stockholm.
