Park Plaza Leeds

A very smart hotel, seconds from the entrance to Leeds City Station and perfect for the shops. Dog friendly with a dog bed, treats and a toy all thrown in for the £25 pet fee. The bed was amazingly comfortable and huge and the room well equipped including a TV, Kettle, Iron and Ironing board, a small fridge and a secure looking wall safe!

Only downside was having to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for a lift down from the 18th floor. There were three lifts in the lobby however one of those was out of service. I guess had all three been working the waiting time would have been acceptable.

A staff asking me for and ID. I asked her when did that come to be introduced because I am always at the hotel more than 5 to 6 times and this was the very first time. . She said because of security reasons. However, she wasn't asking White customers. I nearly canceled my booking.. 😭😭

The hotel is a twenty-story high hotel with great views just a very short walk from the main railway station. The rooms were spacious, clean and well fitted with a safe and refrigerator. The hotel was of a high standard with a good restaurant and bar. The main downside is that it only has three lifts with only two working when we stayed in an 18th floor room. The wait for the lift was often five or six minutes. Early morning when one did arrive, we stopped on the way down at other floors just to point out that there was no room left in the lift for the waiting guests.
