Quality Inn Creekside - Downtown Gatlinburg

We looked this hotel up on booking.com. The pictures of this place looked great. We called & made the reservation. The guy from choice I talked to (Chris) I explained everything I needed. I needed 2 rooms together. He said no problem got it booked. We got there & it was not set up how we wanted or needed. But got that fixed. We were given the keys to the rooms. Got in there & walked back out. Went down to the front desk & we refused to stay at this hotel. The 1 room had stains on the sheets. There was crumbs still in the other bed. The other room had an outlet socket with no cover and had only electrical tape around it. The rooms were dirty & NOTHING like the pictures. The rooms they gave us were something out of the slums. When I explained to the front desk why I refused to stay they gave me an email address to email about my refund.

We were not told about a back parking lot that was much closer to our room. Housekeeping only made one of the two beds in our room after the first stay. Front desk person acted frazzled and repeatedly said he was so exhausted and doesn't sleep. Front elevator our of order most of the day on the day after we checked in but noone put a sign on it to notify the guests.

Location was perfect. We reserved the 2 bedroom, full kitchen, living room. It worked well for us and our 4 grandchildren. The employees were exceptional, Christo was the maintenance man and we called him for a remote to the bedroom TV and, and again to light the fireplace pilot light. The young lady that did the housekeeping was really sweet and helped me when one of the grandkids spilled a drink. Breakfast ended at 9:30am. The front desk guys were very nice. The only issue we had was the kitchen area so heads up there was not a kitchen table/chairs to sit at to have a meal, so the kids sat in bed and ate unfortunately. The cabinets are bare. No dishes what so ever, no silverware , no pots, pans or skillets. I was puzzled about this as no where was this mentioned. Luckily I brought my own cookware from home. A plus was the bear that likes to visit Howard's for a handout. He came walking into our parking lot. It was a great visit. Just be mindful you will need to fully stock the kitchen.

The proximity to downtown and the front desk was very helpful.

Room was in unsafe, unsanitary conditions. Health, building and human violations.! Please read reviews before you book,
