Hotel Niederraeder Hof

The hotel is perfectly situated, being only a short tram ride from Frankfurt main Train Station, and in what I deemed to be a quiet residential area. As it is a boutique hotel, don't be expecting all the bells and whistles, but it was clean, comfortable, the staff were excellent (friendly, and only too willing to give tourist and other info), and the breakfast buffet, although small in choice, was quite good. The only slight negative was the room being quite small, but I was a solo traveller and only there 3 days, so it wasn't a big issue for me. If I was to find myself in Frankfurt again one day, I'd have no hesitation in booking Hotel Niederrader Hof.

Very convenient in terms of location. 02 stops from airport by S8 or S9. Several trams stop near the hotel direction downtown and all famous sites of the city. Rooms are very clean, staff helpful. Breakfast is varied and of good quality. Wi-Fi connection available. To be strongly recommended.

Hotel did the job for 1 business night. It is very outdated though and the bathroom is tiny. For the €160/night charge, I think it was about double what is should have been in cost. The reception was friendly and the breakfast was small but fine. I didn't venture outside the hotel to see the area but it seemed fine.

The staff was competent as one lady directed me to good restaurant that was nearby. One man called a taxi for me but charged me some undetermined amount of money for a cup of coffee. If it was in a dining area I could understand but he brewed it behind the check in desk. I read an article that mentioned that hotels are nickel and diming people to death these days so be sure you know in advance about any feel like charging for a candy bar then paying a restocking fee to put another candy bar in it's place.

This is my 4th stay and I have my next reservation already placed. I feel like home now here. It is not fancy but comfortable.

From Frankfurt Airport it is a two station stop on the S-Bahn trains S-7, S-8 or S-9 to the Frankfurt-Niederrad Station. On arrival at Frankfurt-Niederrad Station turn left in the direction of Stadmitte. For good weather, a pleasant 10-minute walk or bad weather it is two tram stops to the hotel. For beverages, food there is a Penny Markt at the corner of Gerauer StraBe and TriftstraBe (Gerauer Strabbe is the tram stop).With the Hotel, be advised they have no air-conditioning and if you get a street view room you will be in full sun and the street noise can affect your rest period. If possible request a room not facing the street as high up as possible.

We booked to stay here the last week of November for the Christmas markets, unfortunately they are opening a week later this year, so if anyone else has done the same please take note. I wanted to write this review as the staff at the Niederraeder Hoff were very helpful and kindly changed our booking dates at no extra cost ( unlike the airline who charged £300!). We look forward to our stay and thank you very much and I hope I can put another positive review after our holiday.

very nice hotel good value

Wifi, shower, bed, good breakfast; nice location. Small rooms, noisy if you open the window - no wonder, you have one of the busiest hubs in Europe just 10 minutes by car. Totally worth it. Staff are great and helpful (thanks!!), and overall impression is very, very nice.

We stayed in 2 rooms the 1st time we visited. Our rooms were good. As we were returning to the area at the end of the week & had a reservation there I requested the same rooms. The receptionist told me we would get the same rooms. When were arrived the 2nd time we were told that the rooms were occupied and were given dinky rooms in the basement with a shared toilet & shower at the end of the hall. I complained about the rooms & shared facilities and was told that the rooms were the only ones available. The receptionist did check to see if there was anything else but it was basically " Take it or Leave it! " . When checking out the manager blamed the receptionist & gave us 20 Euro off each room which is what they originally went for compared to the rooms we reserved. We will not be using that Hotel again!
