Hotel Presidente

Hotel was very clean and the staff was super friendly. The location was convenient and walking distance to most parts of town or an easy spot for bus or ride share pick up and drop off. The breakfast was delicious as well.

Art & Design. The food. the rooftop par the flowers. The rooms were basic (& spotless/super clean) but the rest of the hotel was anything BUT basic and it is prime downtown location with FREE parking! The food at the Azotea 7 was delicious.

Amanda in the reception was Amazing! We received a wonderful upgrade, a room with a balcony! The breakfast was. Extraordinary, the staff super friendly and welcoming! The Hotel aesthetics is gorgeous! A highly recommended this Hotel!!

Beautiful old building turned into a nice hotel. The roof top restaurant was excellent. We ate there 4 out of 5 nights we were there. However they refused to honor my Orbitz VIP status so breakfast was not included in my stay. They charge $18 a person for an extremely plain breakfast buffet that’s worth maybe half that amount. We walked around the corner to another hotel for better breakfast food at half the price.

We had a one-night stay after flying in to San Jose then driving to our condo in Jaco the following day. The hotel was nice. Common areas had been upgraded and look great. The room was fine. The valet parking was appreciated, as we were able to unload our luggage then turn over the vehicle for safe parking until we were ready to leave. The hotel restaurant was very good. But the best thing about Hotel Presidente is the staff. All were friendly and helpful. Kiny and Luis M at the registration desk were great. Special thanks to Andrea, our waitress in the hotel restaurant. She was smiling and friendly, and even let us practice our Spanish lessons.

Great Hotel in central location for exploring the city. Lots of food and shopping areas nearby, walkable to most places. Staff were very professional and helpful.

Roof top restaurant was lovely, unfortunately our stay was ruined by multiple issues checking in followed by, despite asking on check in about booking the shuttle and being told I could do it in the morning, to not being able to do it in the morning as it needed to be reserved 24hrs in advance ?? It would have been 24hrs in advance if they had booked it as I requested on check in. The rooms shown on Expedia are nothing like the room we were given, I was hoping for a smart boutique style hotel / room as per the photos and ended up with a very standard hotel room with no English channels on the TV or the ability to stream . Aside from the restaurant I was pretty disappointed

Great experience with excellent service from a team of exceptional employees who could not have been more accommodating in every way. Our room was exceptionally clean with beautiful furniture. The breakfast was delicious with cooked to order options in a lovely room. The rooftop restaurant was so great that we went every day of our stay. The hotel is in a great location, was very safe, and well maintained. We had a wonderful experience.
